A new theory has emerged regarding Satoshi Nakamoto, the mysterious founder of Bitcoin.

Cryptocurrency commentator Fred Krueger, in his assessment, argued that Satoshi Nakamoto may not be a single person, but rather a partnership consisting of Hal Finney and Len Sassaman. Krueger suggested that this is the “most plausible scenario” among the current theories.

According to Krueger, one of the theory’s main supports was the physical inconsistencies in the timeline. He noted that while Satoshi Nakamoto was communicating with developer Mike Hearn via email in 2009, Hal Finney was known to be running a marathon, making it difficult for Finney to be Satoshi alone. Krueger argues that this strengthens the possibility of a second person managing the “Satoshi desk.”

The second pillar of the theory is based on technical expertise. Krueger stated that Hal Finney was a highly skilled C++ developer capable of developing Bitcoin’s infrastructure, but early doubts about Hashcash suggested that the cryptographic vision in the Bitcoin whitepaper might have come from someone else. Len Sassaman’s status as a top-tier cryptography expert is noteworthy in this context.

Language use was also cited as a supporting element for the theory. Noting that Len Sassaman lived in Belgium, Krueger argued that the use of British English expressions like “favour” and “colour” in Satoshi Nakamoto’s writings was closer to Sassaman’s language style. This, it was suggested, could explain details that don’t align with Hal Finney’s American English style.

Krueger also reminded that Satoshi Nakamoto’s last known message was sent on April 26, 2011, and that Len Sassaman passed away just 68 days later. Indiana Republican James Baird cruised to victory Tuesday in his party’s primary for the state’s 4th congressional district, pulling in over 60% of the vote against challenger Craig Haggard and a handful of others.

Baird also had the backing of US President Donald Trump. But another force was working in his favor: Defend American Jobs, a Super PAC tied to Fairshake, poured roughly $514,000 into media buys supporting him ahead of the vote, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission.

Fairshake itself is bankrolled by some of the biggest names in crypto, including Coinbase and Ripple Labs. The committee spent over $130 million trying to shape the outcome of the 2024 elections. In 2026, it’s already at it again — about $10 million has been directed toward races in Illinois and Texas so far.

A Reliable Vote For The Industry
Baird has been in Congress since January 2019 and has built a record that crypto advocates consider dependable. He backed the GENIUS Act, which deals with stablecoin regulation, and the CLARITY Act, a bill focused on crypto market structure. For Fairshake, he was worth protecting.

“Representative Baird has been a proven leader for pro-job, pro-consumer, and pro-innovation policies in Congress,” a Fairshake spokesperson said.

“We’re proud to support leaders committed to responsible regulation that ensures the US remains the global leader in innovation.”

Baird reportedly thanked Trump publicly following his win.

Sticky wage pressures, combined with already elevated oil prices, could strengthen inflation concerns globally and complicate the Fed’s path forward.

In other words, the market reaction may hinge less on headline job creation and more on whether wage growth cools. With traders already pricing in the possibility of future rate hikes next year, risk assets may need a softer-than-expected earnings figure to stage a meaningful rally.

For now, analysts remain broadly constructive on bitcoin, with the $75,000 level seen as critical support.

“Bitcoin has returned below $80K, extending its retreat from the 200-day moving average after briefly entering overbought territory near the upper boundary of its uptrend channel. The lower boundary of that channel sits near $77.5K, though a broader trend break would likely require a fall below recent lows around $75K,” said Alex Kuptsikevich, chief market analyst at FxPro.
