Bitdeer hits 70 EH/s in self-mining bitcoin operations, claims top spot by compute Bitdeer's total hashrate under management grew to 78.1 EH/s, including its massive self-mining fleet and hosted machines, as of the end of March.

CleanSpark, often ranked among the largest miners by compute, reported an operational hashrate of about 50 EH/s in its latest operations filing on Wednesday.

Bitdeer (NASDAQ: BTDR) produced 661 self-mined bitcoins in March 2026, up 480% from the same month last year, according to its latest operations update. The firm has been ramping up its bitcoin mining business to become a dominant player in the ecosystem.

According to its filing on Wednesday, Bitdeer now commands about 225,000 self-owned rigs, out of the 262,000 it has under management. It is also scaling up to 3.0 gigawatts in global energy capacity, including the operations in the pipeline.

In total, Bitdeer said its self-mining bitcoin operations scaled to about 70 exahashes per second (EH/s), an 504% increase year over year, once again making it the largest miner by computer power. This is a title Bitdeer claimed at the end of last year, when it reported "total hash rate under management" of 71 EH/s, including, at the time, a self-mining hashrate of 55.2 EH/s.

Bitcoin is still hovering near $75,000 as it hits a wall of supply while institutional demand remains steady, with traders weighing progress in U.S.-Iran peace talks during a two-week ceasefire.

The CoinDesk 20 (CD20) index rose around 1.9% in the past 24 hours, compared with bitcoin’s 1%, amid reports of a ceasefire extension, improving risk sentiment.

The increases come alongside a softer U.S. dollar, which slipped to a near six-week low, and easing Treasury yields, conditions that often support crypto prices by lowering the relative appeal of holding cash. Gold also gained, pointing to a market balancing risk appetite with hedging demand.

Still, the backdrop remains tense. The U.S. blockade of Iranian ports and Iran’s threats to disrupt shipping routes in the Persian Gulf and nearby waterways continue to cloud the outlook for the global economy.

Energy supply shocks have already begun feeding into inflation expectations, a factor that could shift central bank policy and ripple into crypto markets.

Onchain data also show bitcoin supply tends to appear when prices reach key cost-basis levels for short-term holders. That’s around $76,800, a level that could act as resistance as investors cash out when breaking even.

Derivatives positioning

Crypto futures open interest (OI) has risen 2.5% in the past 24 hours even as trading volume dropped 16% and liquidations fell 48% to $220 million.

The divergence suggests traders are adding or holding positions despite a slowdown in activity, pointing to a buildup of exposure without strong conviction. The sharp decline in liquidations indicates reduced volatility and fewer forced exits.

According to Allaire, competition in the global financial system has now acquired not only an economic but also a technological dimension. In this context, the development of a yuan-backed stablecoin could make China’s currency more competitive. The Circle CEO stated that China has the potential to launch such a digital asset within the next three to five years.

These statements come amid increasing debate surrounding yuan-based stablecoins. Previously, Chinese tech giants Ant Group and JD.com were reported to have called on the central bank to allow yuan-backed stablecoins.

However, the People’s Bank of China and other regulatory bodies are taking a cautious approach in this area. A statement published in February 2026 explicitly emphasized that issuing yuan-pegged stablecoins abroad without the necessary permits is prohibited.

Bitcoin at a Very Critical Junction! According to the Analyst, This Level Will Determine Its Fate: Pump or Dump?

The leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin ($BTC), has been experiencing a surge in recent days, influenced by the ceasefire talks between the US and Iran.

After rising above $76,000, $BTC, as it has for a long time, encountered resistance and was rejected, falling back to the $74,000 level.

While bullish expectations continue due to $BTC’s recent movements, one analyst has warned of a major drop.

At this point, popular analyst Ali Martinez said that Bitcoin is at a critical juncture.

According to Martinez, Bitcoin has once again tested the 100-day moving average (SMA), which is considered a significant resistance level.

Sharing his latest analysis from account X, the analyst stated that for the third time in the last six months, $BTC has retested the 100-day SMA level on the daily chart as a resistance point.

He added that $BTC absolutely needs to hold the $73,000 level to sustain its upward momentum.

The analyst noted that the market failed to hold this level twice, once in October last year and again in January this year, and said that if it doesn’t break this resistance permanently this time, further declines could occur.

Martinez warned that a failure of the current retest could form a triple top pattern. This pattern could potentially send the Bitcoin price back to its all-time low of $59,000.

Conversely, if $BTC breaks this resistance and establishes a sustained position above the 100-day SMA, the price could rise to the $80,000-$84,000 range, he stated.
