В недавнем исследовательском отчете, опубликованном Юридическим факультетом Национального университета Гуджарата, рекомендуется создать четкую нормативно-правовую базу для криптоактивов в Индии, предлагается систематическая нормативная база и проводится углубленный анализ текущей позиции Индии в отношении криптоактивов.

Отчет под названием «Криптоактивы в Индии: оценка необходимости регулирования» был подготовлен совместно Юридическим факультетом Национального университета Гуджарата и Коллегией адвокатов Индии. На презентации отчета собрались старшие судьи, известные юристы, эксперты по вопросам политики и лидеры индустрии цифровых активов, чтобы обсудить будущее направление регулирования криптоактивов в Индии.

Растет распространение криптовалют в Индии

В отчете подчеркивается растущее признание криптовалют в Индии. По словам профессора С. Шантакумара, вице-канцлера Юридического факультета Национального университета Гуджарата, почти 120 миллионов индийцев уже используют криптоактивы, несмотря на отсутствие всеобъемлющей нормативно-правовой базы. Он добавил: «В конечном итоге в отчете предлагаются пять возможных моделей регулирования, предоставляя политикам практические варианты при разработке стратегии регулирования криптоактивов в Индии».

Многие крупные экономики уже разработали четкие законы о криптоактивах, основанные на сравнительных моделях регулирования и глобальных политических тенденциях. В отчете отмечается, что, хотя Индия приняла меры и распространила обязательства по борьбе с отмыванием денег на криптовалютный сектор, отсутствие четкой и всеобъемлющей системы регулирования криптовалют повлияло на потоки капитала, развитие отрасли и инновации.

Bitcoin stuck under $70,000 as investors play it safe before U.S. inflation report

Bitcoin $BTC$69,474.46 slipped back below $70,000 as war in the Middle East and U.S. inflation data due later today keep investors cautious.

The latest failure to build momentum above $70,000 followed reports that Iran was laying mines along the already disrupted Strait of Hormuz, a major global oil chokepoint. Bullish momentum weakened late Tuesday after U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said in a now-deleted social media post that the U.S. escorted an oil tanker through the strait.

As usual, the disappointment quickly spread from bitcoin to the broader crypto market. Major cryptocurrencies such as ether ($ETH), solana (SOL), $XRP ($XRP), DOGE$0.09213 and $BNB $BNB$637.39 lost 1% or more since midnight UTC, tracking losses in bitcoin. The CoinDesk 20 Index is also down 1% to 1,980 points.

According to Alex Kuptsikevich, chief market analyst at FXPro, traders should closely track the 50-day simple moving average of bitcoin's price.

"In the short term, the 50-day moving average has proved a formidable resistance level, preventing bulls from swiftly turning the tide in their favor. This indicator often signals the medium-term trend, and a confident break above it would be an important turning point in the coming days," he said in an email.

Meanwhile, analysts at Bitfinex said the next moves largely depend on oil prices, U.S. government bond yields and Fed policy.

Speaking of the Fed, its members will closely watch the February U.S. consumer price index report due later Wednesday. It is expected to show the inflation rate ticked up to 2.5% year-on-year from January's 2.4%, according to FactSet. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, is also seen rising 2.5%.

U.S. Spot Solana ETFs are close to hitting $1 billion in inflows, or 2% of their market cap, having debuted last October.

That’s only 18 weeks taken to climb to its current levels.  

In contrast, Brian Rudick, chief strategy officer at Solana treasury firm Upexi, noted that it took U.S. Spot BTC ETFs 55 weeks to reach 2% of their market cap.

In other words, SOL has seen relatively high institutional demand despite a bear market.  
Worth pointing out, however, that BTC ETF flows have mixed institutional players, with hedge funds hunting for basis trade (yield) as major drivers of outflows during risk-off sentiment. 

So, how does that apply to SOL ETFs and the altcoin’s price? 

Institutional bet on SOL: Conviction or speculation?

According to Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart, basis trade hunting or institutional speculation is not particularly prevalent across SOL ETFs. 

Unlike last July, when SOL basis trade was a whopping 23%, the yield shrank after the products debuted in October. In fact, the yield dropped to -6% in early 2026, yet overall ETF inflows rose to nearly $1 billion. 

The basis of Solana has been extremely low so far in 2026. This means the Solana basis trade is likely not contributing to the inflows.”

In fact, according to 13F filings with the SEC, institutions controlled 50% of assets under management (AUM), underscoring the massive interest in a young product, Seyffart highlighted. 

Impact on SOL’s price

That said, SOL’s price has been in lockstep with broader market sentiment despite the impressive ETF inflows. Even so, Bitwise found that Spot ETF flows now account for 25% of SOL’s price variance. 

Put differently, a quarter of SOL’s price moves are now directly determined by ETF flows.

Why Goldman Sachs’ $150 Million XRP Bet Fades Amid Growing Retail Weakness

$XRP price has remained largely steady in recent sessions, even as reports revealed that Goldman Sachs holds over $150 million in $XRP ETF exposure. The disclosure briefly reinforced the narrative that institutional interest in $XRP may be strengthening. However, a closer look at ETF flows, on-chain activity, and market participation suggests a more complicated picture.

While a major bank has built a large position, the broader group of investors driving $XRP liquidity appears to be showing signs of weakening conviction.

ETF Flows Show Conviction Is Weakening

Institutional participation in $XRP ETFs remains smaller than many headlines suggest.

According to regulatory disclosures, 83 institutions reported $XRP ETF exposure through 13F filings, with combined holdings worth roughly $211 million. The largest single position belongs to Goldman Sachs, which holds over $150 million across multiple $XRP ETF products.

These filings reflect positions as of December 31, 2025, which is the most recent reporting snapshot available. However, the institutional share of $XRP ETF capital remains relatively small. The disclosure resurfaced again in March as the $XRP price struggled to regain momentum.
