ARK Invest Reveals That 34% of Bitcoin Supply Could Be Compromised by Quantum Computers
$ARK Invest and Unchained, in a joint report, shared a noteworthy assessment of Bitcoin’s long-term risks stemming from quantum computing.

According to the report, approximately 34.6% of the circulating Bitcoin supply is exposed to long-term risks in the face of potential major breakthroughs in quantum computing. In contrast, 65.4% of the current supply is considered relatively safe for now.

The study argues that the quantum threat does not pose an immediate crisis for Bitcoin, but it is an important issue that needs to be closely monitored and prepared for in the long term.

The report states that current quantum computers are far from capable of breaking the elliptic curve cryptography used by Bitcoin. According to the researchers, existing systems are still in an early stage called “NISQ” and require thousands of logical qubits and much deeper error-correcting processing capacity to reach a level that could threaten Bitcoin’s cryptographic infrastructure. Therefore, $ARK Invest and Unchained argue that quantum risk should be considered as a gradual process that could unfold over years or even decades, rather than a sudden “Q-day” scenario.

According to the report, a significant portion of the Bitcoin supply vulnerable to quantum threats resides in legacy address types. Approximately 1.7 million $BTC are estimated to be in old P2PK addresses and largely lost. Additionally, around 5.2 million $BTC are in reused addresses or in some other address types, including portable Taproot addresses, which could theoretically be transferred to more secure addresses. Thus, approximately 35% of the supply is considered vulnerable to quantum risk, while 65.4%, equivalent to approximately 13 million $BTC, is seen as more resilient under current conditions.

The bulls pushed the price above the 61.8% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $74,062 swing high to the $65,645 low. However, the bears are still active near $71,200. The price failed to extend gains and started a bearish wave below $70,000.

Bitcoin is now trading above $68,800 and the 100 hourly simple moving average. There is also a key declining channel or a possible bullish flag forming with support at $68,400 on the hourly chart of the $BTC/USD pair.




If the price remains stable above $68,400, it could attempt a fresh increase. Immediate resistance is near the $70,000 level. The first key resistance is near the $70,500 level. A close above the $70,500 resistance might send the price further higher. In the stated case, the price could rise and test the $71,200 resistance. Any more gains might send the price toward the $72,000 level or the 76.4% Fib retracement level of the downward move from the $74,062 swing high to the $65,646 low. The next barrier for the bulls could be $72,650.

Global Giant BlackRock Makes the Long-Awaited Big Move for Ethereum (ETH)!

BlackRock, a global giant with spot Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum ($ETH) ETFs, has launched a new ETF.

Accordingly, BlackRock’s Ethereum staking ETF will begin trading on US exchanges.

BlackRock’s iShares Staked Ethereum Trust ETF (ETHB) will begin trading on Nasdaq today.

ETHB will be the third cryptocurrency ETF launched by BlackRock.

The fund offers investors exposure to spot $ETH positions as well as the opportunity to earn staking rewards.

Furthermore, ETHB becomes the first cryptocurrency ETF to include staking functionality; ETHB will hold physical Ethereum but will stake a portion of its assets on the Ethereum network.

Speaking to Coindesk, Jay Jacobs, BlackRock’s US ETF manager, said, “Some investors who already hold Ethereum directly are staking it, but they are hesitant to move their assets to an ETF for fear of losing staking rewards. By integrating the staking function into the ETF, investors can retain the benefits of staking while also taking advantage of the operational advantages of an ETF.”

ETHB’s governance fee is 0.25%. However, BlackRock plans to reduce the fee to 0.12% during ETHB’s first year after launch, until its assets reach $2.5 billion.

Jacobs commented on the matter, saying, “This temporary discount will help us gain market share in the first few months after the ETF’s launch.”

Cardano’s daily technical setup shows why a close above key resistance levels matters. Per the Bollinger Band indicator, the middle band sits higher around $0.2688, with the upper band near $0.2927 and the lower band at $0.2495. 

That keeps price below the band basis and in the lower half of the volatility range, which means bulls still have not reclaimed the market’s short-term equilibrium level. In practical terms, ADA is not breaking out yet. It is still trying to recover from weakness while trading under a dynamic resistance zone that has capped recent rebounds.

The Bull Bear Power reading near -0.0068 adds to that cautious view because it shows underlying pressure remains slightly negative even after the latest bounce attempt. That suggests buyers have managed to slow the decline but not generate enough force to shift momentum decisively upward.

Cardano likely needs a daily close above the middle Bollinger Band before traders can argue that a stronger recovery phase is underway. Until that happens, price action still looks like consolidation beneath resistance rather than a confirmed bullish reversal.
