Trump Media Plans Crypto Treasury Revamp After $238M Q2 Loss

Trump Media planned to revamp its digital asset treasury after Q2 losses.

Unrealized crypto and securities losses reached $190.4 million during Q2.

Trump Media held about 14,139 Bitcoin by July 31.

Trump Media & Technology Group planned to overhaul its crypto treasury strategy after reporting a $238.1 million second-quarter loss. The company disclosed the strategy on Aug. 10 alongside its quarterly results, citing digital asset volatility and balance-sheet management.

The move kept Bitcoin at the center of Trump Media’s capital strategy despite large paper losses. It also shifted the company toward active treasury management through options, lending and other yield-generating arrangements.

Trump Media Reworks Its Digital Asset Strategy
The group reported $190.4 million in unrealized losses across digital assets, pledged assets and equity securities. The company said those losses formed most of its quarterly deficit, while Reuters reported revenue reached $1.7 million.

Management said the revised framework would preserve long-term digital asset exposure while managing volatility. It also planned to direct additional resources toward Truth Social, Truth+, and other media operations.

The strategy represented a shift from simply holding Bitcoin to managing it as treasury capital. That approach could generate income, but it also introduced additional liquidity and counterparty risks.

Trump Media’s second-quarter results also showed the scale of its financial exposure. The company reported about $1.9 billion in financial assets as of June 30, according to its earnings release.

The technical improvement arrived as capital rotated toward altcoins. More large-holder wallets and bullish derivatives positioning supported H’s recovery. Could this momentum push Humanity toward the next resistance at $0.33?
Can Humanity hold above its EMAs?
Humanity advanced during the past week and traded above its 20-day and 50-day EMAs. This move suggested that buyers had gained momentum across the short and medium terms.
Holding above both EMAs could help bulls extend the rally toward $0.33.
However, losing these levels would weaken the bullish structure and increase the possibility of a deeper correction.
Notably, Humanity’s large-holder activity offered another bullish signal.

The number of wallets holding over 10 million H reached 39, its highest level in several months. This increase suggested more wallets had entered that holding bracket. However, the metric alone could not confirm fresh whale purchases.
Even so, continued growth in large-holder wallets could support H’s attempt to reach $0.33.
At the same time, H’s Price Volatility climbed to approximately 7%, reaching its highest recent level. This increase indicated that H had begun experiencing wider price movements as its bullish trend continued.
Elevated Price Volatility could amplify the rally if buying pressure holds. It could also accelerate losses during a sudden reversal.
Therefore, the same metric supporting a faster move toward $0.33 also increased H’s pullback risk.

Ripple confirmed an expanded conference program for its Swell 2026 in New York, with more than 1,500 attendees, over 75 speakers, and 50-plus sessions expected across three stages from Oct. 27-29. Swell shared the latest additions on X on Aug. 13 as financial institutions increase their involvement in blockchain payments, stablecoins, tokenization, and digital asset infrastructure.

The updated Swell 2026 speaker lineup includes Robinhood Senior Vice President and General Manager of Crypto Johann Kerbrat, BNY Global Head of Markets Laide Majiyagbe, and Intercontinental Exchange Vice President of Strategic Initiatives Michael Blaugrund. Featured participants also include Water.org co-founder Matt Damon, Bullish Chairman and CEO Tom Farley, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, and Ripple President Monica Long.

Other confirmed speakers represent Tradeweb, PwC, State Street, Amazon Web Services, Canary Capital, the $XRP Ledger Foundation, and several universities. Former Reserve Bank of India Gov. Regulatory attention has increased alongside that growth. On Aug. 12, the New York City Council disclosed an investigation into alleged marketing practices across major platforms. Wider reach, however, does not prove that event-contract odds change crypto portfolios.

What Prediction Market Odds Actually Measure

A binary contract pays $1 when a defined event occurs and zero when it does not. A contract priced at 60 cents therefore carries an implied probability near 60%. Trading orders move that figure before settlement.

The percentage remains a market price, not an objective probability. It reflects the information, capital, and risk preferences of participating traders. Views held by people outside the contract do not enter the price unless active traders respond to them.

A 2026 preprint examined 292 million trades across roughly 327,000 contracts on Kalshi and Polymarket. Calibration differed by subject, settlement horizon, trade size, and platform design.

The paper found persistent underconfidence in political contracts. Their prices often stayed closer to 50% than outcomes later justified. The authors warned that interpreting every contract price at face value produces systematic errors.

Who trades also matters. Yale researchers studied 1.72 million Polymarket accounts, 210,322 markets, and $13.76 billion in volume. Their working paper found that a small group of skilled trade
