Bitcoin price confirms H&S pattern, will it crash below $60K?
Bitcoin price has confirmed a bearish head-and-shoulders breakdown, putting the $60,000 support zone under pressure as traders react to easing Middle East tensions and persistent institutional selling.

According to data from crypto.news, Bitcoin ($BTC) price dropped from an intraday high near $64,500 to a low of $61,990 on June 23 before stabilizing around the $62,000 area.

Bitcoin’s decline coincided with a sharp drop in oil prices after reports of progress in U.S.-Iran negotiations and a 60-day waiver allowing purchases of Iranian crude pushed Brent crude to its lowest level in nearly three months.

At the same time, a selloff in artificial intelligence and semiconductor stocks weighed on risk sentiment across global markets, while gold fell roughly 1.5% and silver slid more than 5% as traders unwound defensive positions.

Crypto derivatives markets amplified the selloff, with over $600 million in liquidations recorded in 24 hours, the bulk of which came from long positions.

Meanwhile, institutional demand remains weak after U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs entered one of their longest outflow streaks this year, removing a key source of demand that had previously helped cushion selling pressure in the spot market. Coinbase’s premium has also remained negative, suggesting U.S. investors have been selling rather than accumulating during recent sessions.

Although diplomatic developments have eased fears of an immediate Middle East supply shock, uncertainty continues to linger over the durability of the emerging agreement. As recent reports revealed, Iran’s President has rejected negotiations over the country’s ballistic missile program, while Tehran and Washington continue to dispute claims regarding nuclear inspections.

CFTC fires back after Kentucky targets Polymarket, Kalshi
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has sued Kentucky in federal court, seeking to stop the state from enforcing gaming laws against federally regulated prediction market operators.

The case names Kentucky Governor Andrew Beshear, Attorney General Russell Coleman, Department of Revenue Commissioner Thomas B. Miller, and the Kentucky Horse Racing and Gaming Corporation as defendants.

The CFTC says Kentucky’s actions conflict with the Commodity Exchange Act, which gives the regulator authority over futures, options, and swaps traded on federally regulated exchanges.

“Kentucky is the latest state attempting to shut down federally-regulated event contracts,” said CFTC Chair Michael Selig.

The agency asked the court for declaratory and injunctive relief. Kentucky says sports-linked contracts need state oversight.

State action targets platforms

Kentucky sued Kalshi, Polymarket, and partners tied to Coinbase, Robinhood, and Webull on June 17. The state said the companies offered sports event contracts without a Kentucky gaming license and without following state rules. It also argued that the products fall under the state’s definition of sports wagering.

The CFTC rejected that view in its complaint. It said Kalshi and Polymarket are designated contract markets under federal oversight. It also said Coinbase, Robinhood, and Webull are registered futures commission merchants that can offer event contracts through partnerships with regulated exchanges.

Moreover, the regulator described the targeted contracts as swaps under federal commodities law.

Experienced Trader Shares the Level That Must Be Defended Following Bitcoin's Sharp DropCrypto analyst Ali Martinez shared notable technical and on-chain levels for Bitcoin and Ethereum. According to Martinez, the $60,000 region is critical for maintaining the current trend in Bitcoin.

The analyst noted that, according to on-chain data, more than 1.3 million $BTC changed hands between $60,000 and $63,000. Martinez emphasized that this region represents one of the largest volume clusters for Bitcoin, and stated that the $60,587 level should be maintained as short-term support.

Dominance Under Threat? According to Martinez, if Bitcoin falls below this support level, the next significant level for the price could be $46,702. The analyst stated that approximately 150,000 $BTC are currently trading in this region. Further down, Martinez noted that the $37,867 level stands out, with 207,000 $BTC changing hands in that area.

Ali Martinez stated that he was monitoring daily closes to see if buyers would defend the volume block around the $60,000 mark.

On the Ethereum side, the analyst noted that ETH is trading below the 200-hour simple moving average. According to Martinez, unless Ethereum regains this level, the $1,580 level can be watched as the next important target.

Zcash miner Fortitude grabs Nasdaq route through HeartSciences deal
Zcash miner Fortitude Mining Holdings has secured a path to the public markets through an all-stock merger with HeartSciences, a transaction that will place the crypto mining company on the Nasdaq without a traditional IPO.

According to a joint announcement released Tuesday, Fortitude and HeartSciences have agreed to combine in a deal that will leave Fortitude’s management team in control of the merged company. The business is expected to operate under the Fortitude name and trade on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol TUDE, subject to regulatory approvals.

Under the terms of the transaction, existing HeartSciences shareholders will retain a minority ownership stake. HeartSciences, which develops AI-powered cardiac diagnostic technologies, will continue operating under the leadership of chief executive Andrew Simpson.

Explaining the decision, Simpson said the merger would help remove what he described as the “constant cycle of raising capital” while offering what the company believes is the most favorable outcome for shareholders.

Although the two companies operate in unrelated industries, the structure effectively gives Fortitude access to public equity markets through an already listed Nasdaq company.

For HeartSciences, the agreement provides continued exposure to a publicly traded entity while allowing its healthcare operations to remain active.

Fortitude gains public listing without an IPO

Rather than pursuing a conventional stock market debut, Fortitude is following a route that several crypto firms have previously used to reach public investors. According to the companies, the transaction is structured as a merger that will result in Fortitude taking over the public listing.
