On June 23, according to CCTV, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov stated that Russia is ready to resume negotiations with Ukraine from where they were interrupted. He pointed out that the terms for resolving the conflict were discussed and agreed upon nearly a year ago in Anchorage. However, he believes that this consensus has been set aside to allow time for Ukraine to rearm. On the same day, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Ryabkov noted that there have been signs of Washington deviating from the Anchorage consensus recently, but Russia's position has not changed. The dialogue between Russia and the U.S. regarding the Ukraine issue has not been interrupted and will continue.
