According to data from crypto.news, Solana (SOL) price climbed from around $68 on June 19 to an intraday high of $74.98 on June 22 before consolidating near $73.7 at the time of writing.



SOL’s rally followed Morgan Stanley’s amended S-1 filing for its proposed spot Solana ETF, which introduced a 0.14% sponsor fee and identified Figment and Coinbase Canada as staking providers. Such an update strengthened expectations that institutional investors could gain regulated exposure to SOL while also participating in staking rewards.



The ETF development arrived after a sharp four-day correction that dragged Solana from a local high of $75.6 on June 15 to a low near $68. A stronger U.S. dollar, reduced risk appetite across crypto markets, and slower memecoin-related activity on Solana had pressured the token during that period.

The selloff, however, left derivatives markets heavily skewed toward short positions, creating conditions for a rapid reversal once buying pressure returned.

$XRP remains under pressure after failing to sustain last week’s recovery attempt. The latest price action shows sellers regaining control near a key resistance zone, pushing the asset back toward a major support area that is now becoming the focal point for the short-term trend.On the daily timeframe, $XRP continues to trade within a broad descending channel and remains below both the 100- and 200-day moving averages. The recent rebound stalled beneath the 100-day MA and the lower boundary of the highlighted resistance zone around $1.28 to $1.35, reinforcing the bearish higher-timeframe structure.

The most recent development is the rejection from that resistance area and the subsequent move back toward the $1.07 to $1.15 demand zone. This support region has repeatedly attracted buyers throughout June and remains the most important level on the chart.

As long as $XRP holds above this zone, the market may continue consolidating within its current range. However, a decisive breakdown below $1.07 would expose the previous swing low and significantly increase the probability of another leg lower.

On the upside, buyers must reclaim the $1.28 to $1.35 resistance area before any meaningful trend reversal can be considered.

The 4-hour chart shows a clear deterioration in short-term momentum. After failing to break above the ascending resistance trendline and the $1.26 to $1.3 supply zone, $XRP rolled over and erased most of its recovery gains.

More importantly, the recent rebound from the support zone produced another lower high near $1.25 before sellers regained control. Since then, price has drifted back toward the $1.1 support region and is currently trading near the lower boundary of the range.

The latest candles suggest weakening buying pressure, with $XRP struggling to generate any meaningful bounce despite sitting on support.

The Ethereum Foundation (EF) is set to reduce its role in shaping the Ethereum network’s future. And new players are now stepping up, with the latest being ETH Labs, created by former EF members. 

According to ETH Labs, its main mission is to “make Ethereum the settlement layer of the global economy.” It bills itself as a non-profit research and development (R&D) for the chain and its governance token, ETH. 

The new organization is a broad coalition across the Ethereum ecosystem from DeFi builders, venture firms, institutions, researchers, L2 founders, and more.  According to the firm, they’ve come together to “accelerate the next wave of Ethereum adoption.” 

To achieve this, the team plans to build new infrastructure and products that the ecosystem needs the most. No details were shared about these products as of press time. But the project added, 

ETH Labs is independent, but Ethereum is a shared project. We are one node in a much larger network of stewards. This is the multi-node future.

The new outfit is backed by Tom Lee’s Bitmine, Sharplink, and Joe Lubin (co-founder of Ethereum and Consensys).

Specifically, the XRP ETF products pulled in over $5 million worth of capital flows on Monday. While this represents a mild inflow, it places the funds in the most bullish position, as other crypto ETFs either saw outflows or zero flows.

This is according to data sourced by Sosovalue, a leading crypto market analytics platform. Notably, on Monday, June 22, XRP ETFs recorded exactly 4.68 million XRP ($5.31 million) in capital inflows, representing their largest intraday record since June 9. 
The latest performance begins the new week on a bullish note for these funds and builds on what appears to be a consistently strong showing since the start of the month. After enduring a $5.34 million outflow on June 3, these ETFs have maintained a positive streak throughout July, now going 12 days strong without any outflow.

While the inflow figures have been rather mild, ranging from $1.19 million to $7.4 million, XRP’s ability to sustain a positive streak on its ETF products during the ongoing downtrend confirms the funds’ resilience, especially considering other crypto ETFs have seen massive losses within the same period.

Three of the largest U.S. crypto advocacy organizations have urged Congress to pass legislation that would allow digital asset miners and stakers to defer taxation on newly created tokens until those assets are sold.

In a joint letter sent to the House Ways and Means Committee, the Blockchain Association, Crypto Council for Innovation and The Digital Chamber voiced support for H.R. 9175, the Tax Clarity for Mining and Staking Act, and called on lawmakers to approve the bill as introduced.

The groups described the proposal as a “balanced compromise” that would address years of uncertainty surrounding the taxation of mining and staking rewards while preserving eventual income recognition.
Representative Mike Carey introduced the legislation. It would establish a new framework for taxing newly minted digital assets received through mining and staking activities.

Under current IRS guidance, miners and stakers generally recognize taxable income when rewards are received. The proposed bill would preserve that treatment as the default option. 

However, it would also allow taxpayers an alternative approach that defers income recognition until the assets are disposed of.

If a taxpayer makes that election, newly minted digital assets would not be included in gross income when received. Instead, gains would be recognized when the assets are sold or otherwise disposed of.

Supporters argue that the approach addresses concerns that taxpayers can face tax liabilities before they have converted rewards into cash.
