For context, Ethereum’s price was in the bear market, trading at $1,689.19 at press time following a 2.51% decline over the previous day. The spot ETH ETF, meanwhile, has been experiencing a run of outflows, with $66.1 million recorded on the 22nd of June.

In addition to amassing ETH, Bitmine also has 4,718,677 ETH staked in total, valued at $8.2 billion at an average price of $1,733 per ETH.  This raises the question of why Bitmine is adding ETH despite weak market momentum. company’s intention to keep building up at a steady pace through 2026. He believes the market is currently in the early stages of a fresh bullish cycle, which he called the “crypto spring.”These could be the cause of Bitmine’s increased Ethereum additions despite ETH’s weak market dynamics. In addition, bullish traders are also holding onto their positions even though Ethereum has dropped about 65% from its peak, suggesting that long sentiment is still strong.

Large liquidity clusters around the $1,900 and $1,600 levels are visible in the liquidity data, indicating that if ETH moves in either direction, a sizable number of leveraged positions may have to close.

Polkadot, by contrast, is a heterogeneous, multi-chain protocol, often called a "Layer 0" or meta-protocol, that hosts multiple Layer 1 blockchains and allows them to share security. Each parachain, also called an appchain, is specialized toward a specific focus and optimized for that goal.

In plain terms: Ethereum is one big chain with many applications layered on top. Polkadot is a coordination layer for many purpose-built chains running in parallel.

What Are Parachains?
A parachain is an individual blockchain that connects to Polkadot's central Relay Chain. Each one can have its own logic, governance rules, and tokenomics, while still inheriting security from the Relay Chain's validator set. Think of the Relay Chain as a federal government and each parachain as an independent state, accountable to the federation but running its own affairs.

Crypto Groups Urge Congress to Pass Mining Tax Bill Unchanged

Top crypto lobbying groups ask Congress to advance a tax bill on mining and staking rewards without changes, citing the need for clarity.
A coalition of the largest crypto advocacy groups in the United States has asked the House Ways and Means Committee to advance a tax bill covering mining and staking rewards without amendments. The Blockchain Association, the Digital Chamber, and the Crypto Council for Innovation sent the request in a letter dated Sunday to Committee Chairman Jason Smith and top Democrat Richard Neal.

The bill in question, the Tax Clarity for Mining and Staking Act, was introduced by Ohio Republican Representative Mike Carey. It would let people who earn crypto through mining or staking choose when to pay tax on those assets, either at the time they receive them or at the time they sell them.

Blockchain Association CEO Summer Mersinger said the tax code should not force people who help secure decentralized networks to sell their assets before they can reasonably use them. Digital Chamber CEO Cody Carbone called the legislation essential, saying it protects U.S. competitiveness and preserves a bipartisan compromise.

The letter argued that revisiting the agreement already reached on the bill would risk reviving the problems it was meant to solve. The three groups said the bill should move forward as introduced, without further changes from lawmakers.

The bill is one of several crypto tax measures the Ways and Means Committee discussed during a hearing on June 9. Tax policy has become the crypto industry's second-largest legislative priority in Washington, behind the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, which would create a comprehensive federal regulatory framework for digital assets.

Grayscale Issues Bullish Commentary on Bitcoin: “BTC May Be Waiting for This to Rise!”



As is known, the FED held its first Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting under the chairmanship of Kevin Warsh last week and did not change interest rates. The FED unanimously kept the policy interest rate stable at 3.50-3.75 percent, in line with expectations.

Increased inflation concerns stemming from the US-Iran conflict have reduced the likelihood of a Fed interest rate cut to almost zero, while increasing the likelihood of an interest rate hike.

While the general consensus is that the Fed will keep interest rates stable this year, Grayscale suggests that a postponement of the Fed’s interest rate hike could lead to a rise in $BTC.

Grayscale research head Zach Pandl suggests that Bitcoin could rise if the Federal Reserve postpones the possibility of an interest rate hike. In other words, according to Pandl, Bitcoin is waiting for the Fed to keep interest rates unchanged before it can rise.

Pandl noted that since the conflict in Iran began in late February, US stocks have risen by 9%, but $BTC has fallen by 1% and gold by 20%.

Pandl explained that the relatively low performance of $BTC and gold stems from the market pricing in the possibility of a Fed interest rate hike.
