Strive Inc. (NASDAQ: ASST) bought 759 Bitcoin between June 15 and June 21 at an average price of $65,850 per coin.

The firm spent roughly $50 million to push its total holdings beyond 19,800 $BTC, according to an 8-K filing disclosed on June 22.

Is Strive's latest $BTC purchase cheaper than its previous?

The per-coin cost came in about 11% lower than Strive's previous large purchase in May, when the Vivek Ramaswamy-founded firm paid an average of $74,092 each for more than 2,500 $BTC, a $185.2 million outlay.

The price difference within a single quarter shows how much Bitcoin's volatility can shift a corporate buyer's cost basis from one month to the next.

Strive CEO Matt Cole announced the acquisition on X on June 22, writing that the company "acquired an additional 759 $BTC for ~$50M.

While short-term market weakness continues to worry investors, Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said that many traders are missing the bigger catch. Speaking in a recent podcast, Hoskinson urged the crypto community to stop focusing on daily price swings and instead pay attention to the massive long-term growth happening across the industry. Cardano, he noted, often benefits from a long-term focus over reacting to short-term market moves.

“The Long-Term We Win”

At the same time, he also shared new details about his conversations with SpaceX, revealing that discussions touched on Starlink and future communication technologies. Notably, Cardano’s community has also speculated on these advancements and their potential impacts.

Hoskinson made it clear that short-term price drops do not change his overall outlook on crypto, especially regarding Cardano development and adoption.

“Crypto is the opt out. Crypto is the exit. Crypto is the solution,” Hoskinson said.

According to him, market ups and downs are normal, but the broader trend remains firmly upward. He pointed out that the crypto industry already has around 550 million users worldwide and expects that number to grow to one billion by 2030. As a result, Cardano could see even greater adoption in the coming years.

Hoskinson also predicted that a good portion of global financial assets could eventually move on-chain, with Cardano potentially playing a significant role.

Altcoin ETFs Gain Momentum as Bitcoin Funds Post Sixth Weekly Outflow

The market had one less trading day for the week due to the U.S. Juneteenth holiday, but the message was not hard to read.

Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) remained under pressure, extending their weekly outflow streak to six consecutive weeks. Ether funds were nearly flat, but still negative. At the same time, investors continued to add capital to newer and more targeted crypto ETF products, with $HYPE leading the way.

Bitcoin and Ether Remain Under Pressure

Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded $226.8 million in net outflows for the week. The selling was not as severe as earlier in June, but it was enough to keep the category in a clear downtrend.

Grayscale’s GBTC was the largest drag, losing $156.3 million. Ark & 21Shares’ ARKB followed with $50.1 million in outflows, while Blackrock’s IBIT shed $44.7 million. Other redemptions came from Vaneck’s HODL, which lost $14.6 million, Invesco’s BTCO with $6.4 million, and Franklin’s EZBC with $5.8 million.

There were offsets. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT added $25.8 million, Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust brought in $15 million, and Fidelity’s FBTC gained $9.6 million. But those inflows could not fully repair the week’s damage.

The wider backdrop remains difficult. According to Galaxy Research, U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs posted $6.35 billion in net outflows over the past 30 days, the largest rolling 30-day outflow on record across 582 tracked windows. That points to a sustained institutional pullback, not just a few weak sessions.

Ether ETFs also finished the week in negative territory, though only slightly. The category recorded $10 million in net outflows. Monday and Tuesday offered some support, but redemptions later in the week erased much of the early strength.

£286B UK Giant Baillie Gifford launches tokenized fund on Ethereum, Solana

Baillie Gifford, a 118-year-old fund manager overseeing approximately £286 billion, has launched the Enhanced Yield Fund, marketed under the ticker BAGEY. The fund entered into a partnership with custody giant BNY to launch BAGEY, which will run entirely on the blockchain.

The enhanced yield fund is now the UK’s first fully tokenized investment fund, and unlike most “tokenized” products that just slap a digital wrapper on a traditional structure, this one is supposed to live entirely onchain.

The fund is structured as a UK-regulated Open-Ended Investment Company denominated in dollars and invested in an actively managed portfolio of short-term corporate bonds.

According to the fund manager, BNY will handle tokenization and wallet plumbing, while NatWest Trustee and Depositary Services will handle depositary duties. Investors can expect a yield of around 7%. The fund is currently limited to qualified investors in the UK, Switzerland, and the Cayman Islands.

Baillie Gifford fronts BAGEY as the real tokenization
Theo Golden, head of digital assets and tokenization at Baillie Gifford, contrasted the fund with what most of the industry has been calling “tokenization” so far. He argued that digitizing old infrastructure will not, by itself, improve finance. Golden pointed out that BAGEY offers a structurally different approach, as it runs entirely onchain unlike other “tokenized” funds.

Baillie Gifford pointed out that most tokenized funds in the market are wrappers, as they don’t entirely operate onchain as intended.

Unlike most tokenized funds, BAGEY will run entirely onchain, meaning investors hold the fund directly, with the chain doing the legal bookkeeping rather than just mirroring it.
