Baillie Gifford, the Edinburgh-based investment firm, has launched a tokenized corporate bond fund natively on Solana and Ethereum, making it the first publicly available, fully native UK-regulated tokenized fund issued on public blockchains.

The fund, called the Baillie Gifford Enhanced Yield Fund with ticker $BAGEY, targets roughly 7% annual yield through active fixed-income management, CoinDesk reported Monday. BNY provides the tokenization and wallet infrastructure. Baillie Gifford's digital-assets unit BGDA announced the launch describing it as "an actively managed bond fund, issued natively onchain, with the blockchain as the legal source of truth." Fund size at launch has not been disclosed publicly.

Is a 60% Bitcoin Crash Still on the Table? Analyst Points to Wall Street
Diplomatic efforts between Iran and the United States showed early signs of progress after senior officials from both countries held talks in Switzerland.

Mediators from Qatar and Pakistan said the discussions were constructive, as both sides agreed to a 60-day timeline to secure a final deal. Further technical meetings are scheduled to take place at the Burgenstock resort later this week. The optimism surrounding the talks briefly pushed Bitcoin ($BTC) above $64,000, although the asset later gave back some gains and fell below the level.

However, tensions between the two countries still linger as the deal was not signed by June 19 as promised and there are new attacks between Israel and Lebanon. One analyst has outlined a potential downside scenario for Bitcoin if wider market conditions deteriorate.

Worst-Case Scenario

Bitcoin could fall to $23,979 in 2026 if the broader stock market suffers a crash of more than 50%, according to technical analyst Jesse Olson. He shared a two-week Bitcoin chart that depicted $BTC potentially declining toward the $23,980 level, based on a long-term volume-weighted support line derived from his proprietary Market Sniper Pro VWAP indicator.

Olson said such a move would likely require a major stock market downturn while adding that he does not expect Bitcoin to fall to zero.

Meanwhile, another prominent market commentator, Doctor Profit, said that Bitcoin is forming a bearish flag on the daily chart, while growing market optimism is creating liquidity below current prices. He said Bitcoin’s recent uptick matched his earlier expectations and explained that prices can revisit the same levels several times during sideways trading. He expects the asset to eventually fall toward the $54,000-$56,000 range before finding a market bottom at lower levels.

Secret Network's cross-chain bridge to Axelar has been suspended after an attacker exploited a years-old minting flaw to drain $4.67 million in wrapped tokens over seven undetected days.

Both teams disclosed the incident on June 19, confirming approximately $4.67 million in assets were taken from the bridge's Axelar-to-Secret IBC connection. The attack itself began on June 10 but went unnoticed for seven days until a routine cross-chain transfer failed because the bridge's escrow account had been depleted.

Minting Flaw

The vulnerability lived in a modified CW20-ICS20 smart contract deployed on Secret Network for the Axelar bridge connection. Security research firm Common Prefix published a technical breakdown of the incident, finding that two critical validation checks had been commented out from the contract's packet-receive function: one that should have verified incoming token denominations against the legitimate source channel, and one that should have capped outflows to amounts genuinely held in escrow.

SpaceX’s $600 billion plunge erased nearly half of bitcoin’s market cap in three days.


SpaceX's stock has lost more than $600 billion in market value over three trading days, which is nearly half of bitcoin's $1.3 trillion market cap, after announcing its first bond sale.

Bitcoin fell less than 1% over the same stretch, holding near $63,600, per CoinDesk data.

The stock dropped 16% on Monday to $154.60, its lowest since its June 12 debut, taking its three-day decline to about 23%. The trigger was supposedly a plan to sell at least $20 billion of bonds, the company's first time borrowing in the debt markets, to fund the artificial-intelligence buildout it took on when it bought Elon Musk's xAI in February.

SpaceX chose to borrow rather than issue new shares, which would have diluted existing holders. A week ago it, was worth nearly $2.5 trillion and had briefly passed Amazon and Microsoft but now sits just above $2 trillion.
