CME‘s bitcoin options open interest, measured in dollar terms, has dropped from a peak near $290 million in late November to roughly $30 million to $40 million by mid June, according to Cryptoquant data. Put open interest still outweighs calls on most trading days, a pattern that has held since July 2025.

When CME’s options book is broken down by expiration, most contracts cluster in the one to two-month window. Longer dated positions, those expiring four months or more out, have thinned considerably since the fall, leaving traders concentrated in near term bets rather than spreading risk further into 2026 and beyond.

World Cup Predictions: 100,000 USDT Daily

Bitcoin price steadies near $64K as traders watch ETF outflows and Hormuz riskBitcoin traded near $64,000 on Sunday after recovering part of Friday’s sell-off, but the rebound has not yet changed the wider range.

According to crypto.news market data, Bitcoin traded around $64,008, up 0.87% over 24 hours.

The page showed a 24-hour range between $63,188 and $64,462, with daily volume above $16.6 billion. Bitcoin’s seven-day move stayed slightly negative, showing that the weekend bounce only repaired part of the damage.

The move kept traders focused on the $62,000 support area. A clear break below that zone could weaken short-term sentiment, while a move above $67,000 would give bulls a stronger relief setup.

Bitcoin holds range after Friday’s drop
Bitcoin fell below $63,000 on Friday as risk appetite weakened across crypto markets. It later bounced from the weekly 200-period moving average area and the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement, according to crypto trader Daan Crypto Trades.

Daan said the $62,000 area remains the level bulls “must hold” into the weekly close. In his view, a move below that level would look bearish in the short term, while a break above the local high near $67,000 could open a move toward $73,000.

Ether, Solana and Tron also firmed over the weekend, while HYPE remained one of the stronger weekly performers despite a daily pullback. Dogecoin stayed weaker than most large tokens on a seven-day basis.

Bitcoin Holders Agree on 99%, so Why Focus on the 1%? Saylor AsksStrategy chairman Michael Saylor makes a passionate plea to the Bitcoin community as the cryptocurrency enters its next phase of global adoption.

According to Saylor, there is significant cohesion in the Bitcoin community, with most agreeing on nearly everything: Bitcoin's values and ethos, even its origin.

Saylor noted that Bitcoin holders agree on the larger part that matters. "Bitcoiners agree on the 99% that matters," Saylor wrote, but there is a nuance: the remaining 1% seems to be creating a divide.

In a plea to the community, Saylor urges the Bitcoin community to stay united and not be divided over the remaining 1%, adding that the opportunity remains greater than the argument.

According to the Strategy chairman, Bitcoin is still in the early stages of global adoption, with a significant portion of the world's capital yet to enter its network, leaving room for future growth.

"Bitcoiners agree on the 99% that matters. We shouldn't let the 1% divide us while nearly all global capital has yet to enter Bitcoin's monetary network. The opportunity is bigger than the argument," Saylor said.

Bitcoin's 1% divide
Saylor's comments come as debates continue within the broader Bitcoin ecosystem on topics such as addressing potential quantum threats. While such discussions often generate strong opinions, Saylor believes they should not overshadow Bitcoin's bigger aim.
