On June 16, MoonPay, a leading financial technology platform for digital assets, announced that MoonPay Trade is now available directly through Ledger Wallet.

The official announcement stated that the integration will allow users of Ledger Wallet to access services like swapping and trading while keeping their private keys secured on their hardware wallet.

“We’re excited to announce that MoonPay Trade is now live via Ledger Wallet™, giving users access to fast, competitive decentralized cross-chain trading without leaving the security of the Ledger ecosystem,” stated the official announcement.

What is MoonPay Trade?

MoonPay Trade is a major platform for the crypto payments company, which was launched in May 2026 as a unified system to access liquidity and execute trades. This platform is developed for both decentralized finance and institutional use.

MoonPay Trade is developed on technology from Decent.xyz, which is a Y Combinator-backed cross-chain routing company that MoonPay has recently acquired. It is working as a single connection point for more than 200 blockchains and protocols.

The tally has been setting records through 2026 as banks, asset managers and fintechs have moved government debt, credit and equities onto public networks.

Bitcoin.com News reported that the tokenized RWA market cap surged roughly 20-fold in three years to top $29 billion, a base it has since extended. The growth has been driven less by retail speculation than by institutions seeking faster settlement, programmable collateral and round-the-clock access to assets that traditionally trade only during market hours.

Circle and Blackrock Lead the Treasury Race

Tokenized Treasuries remain the engine of the sector with Circle’s USYC product pushing past $3 billion in value, edging Blackrock’s tokenized fund BUIDL, which sits around $2.4 billion. The latter had previously sought the SEC’s approval for the BUIDL fund on Ethereum, a milestone that helped legitimize tokenized money-market exposure for institutional allocators.

Beyond treasuries, the asset mix seems to be widening as private credit too has grown into one of the largest tokenized segments, and Bitcoin.com News reported that real-world assets on Solana crossed $2 billion as networks compete to host the new instruments. This marks the lowest figure recorded since the beginning of the current decade.

What the Data Shows

Over the past 12 months, the exchange balance has declined from roughly 3 million $BTC, indicating that about 440,000 Bitcoin has been withdrawn from exchange wallets. AlphaFractal’s analysis highlights that a sustained reduction in exchange supply often signals a shift in investor behavior, with market participants moving assets off platforms for long-term holding, institutional custody, or direct investment through vehicles such as exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and over-the-counter (OTC) desks.

The metric is considered a reliable indicator of market sentiment. When Bitcoin leaves exchanges, it typically reduces the available supply for immediate trading, which can reduce selling pressure over time. Conversely, an increase in exchange balances often suggests that holders are preparing to sell.
