Beijing's First Space Computing Industry Innovation Center Officially Established

On June 1, the Beijing Satellite Internet of Things Industry Development Conference was successfully held in Haidian. During the conference, it was announced that Beijing's first Space Computing Industry Innovation Center has officially been established. The center was approved by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology and is jointly led by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications with support from leading industry enterprises in Haidian District. Professor Wang Shangguang, Dean of the School of Computer Science at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, introduced that the center adopts a 'company + alliance' model and focuses on six key areas of research and development across the entire space computing industry chain: high-reliability, heat-resistant space-native computing chips; high-performance, ultra-interconnected space computing payloads; space computing satellite platforms and standard systems; space large models addressing power consumption and reliability constraints; integrated communication and control networking between space and ground, and cloud-based operations; and the service-oriented and tokenized operation of space computing. This approach integrates the entire stack from 'chips - hardware - platforms - intelligence - networks - applications' to systematically build a space computing production industry system.
