Telegram’s $TON strategy is working — and the 100% surge in a single week is only part of the story.

Pavel Durov confirmed that Telegram will formally replace the $TON Foundation as the network’s largest validator — the third stage of his “Make $TON Great Again” programme.

Durov’s team staked approximately 2.2 million $TON to claim that validator slot. Transfers, payments, and mini-app services could all settle on $TON.

For a chain backed by 900 million monthly active users, that is not a roadmap promise. It is infrastructure in motion.

What’s Actually Driving This

Catchain 2.0 cut $TON fees roughly sixfold — to approximately $0.0005 per transaction.

The next leg of growth is expected to depend on bots and mini-apps, with users transacting directly inside Telegram.

Staking yields currently sit at around 15% annually, supporting liquidity retention on-chain.

$TON has secured $400 million in token-based commitments from Sequoia Capital, Ribbit, and Benchmark.

AlphaTON, a $TON treasury firm backed by these VCs, filed a $420.69 million shelf registration — earmarking funds for $TON token investments,

the Telegram mini-app ecosystem, and the COCOON AI network. The 2026 roadmap includes $TON Pay 2.0, a full AppKit, a new consensus mechanism, and the $TON Teleport Bridge.

According to the shared data, Loracle’s biggest gains in the last seven days came from ZEC and TON long positions and crude oil short positions. The fact that the investor closed both WTI and Brent oil short positions at the previous day’s lows led to comments in the market regarding the success of the timing.It was reported that the largest profitable positions in the account currently belong to two ZEC long positions worth approximately $20.9 million and a TON long position worth $9.6 million. The total unrealized profit from these two positions is said to have reached approximately $9.7 million. Furthermore, it was noted that the whale has not yet reduced any of these positions.

The crypto market was no longer just pricing the possibility of no interest rate cuts but rather the increasing likelihood of interest rate hikes in 2026, reported AMBCrypto. As a risk asset, this means the Bitcoin [$BTC] outlook would be more bearish if rate hikes were implemented.

The debasement narrative of fiat caused by rising inflation has helped drive gold to all-time highs, and it could help drive capital inflows to Bitcoin.

While the long-term outlook for Bitcoin, over many years, remains positive, some short-term developments and metrics can help put the current price trends into perspective.

In a post on CryptoQuant Insights, analyst Moreno pointed out that institutional capital flow into Bitcoin outpaced the flow into Ethereum [$ETH]. Since the February crash, Bitcoin fund holdings have increased from 1.278 million $BTC to 1.370 million $BTC, a 7.2% increase.

Meanwhile, Ethereum fund holdings have dropped 2.14%, from 5.93 million $ETH to 5.80 million $ETH, a reduction of 127k $ETH. This could be because the leading altcoin is perceived as a higher-risk allocation compared to $BTC.

When BTC dominance falls, it often means traders are shifting capital into alternative cryptocurrencies.
And that shift may already be happening.
While Bitcoin continues consolidating near highs, several altcoins have started outperforming:

📈 Altcoin trading volume is climbing rapidly across exchanges
According to analysts at XWIN Research, a major sihe “Altcoin Volume Increasing Trend” has now appeared.
This happens when 30-day altcoin trading volume rises above the 365-day average — something that historically has often preceded stronger altcoin rallies.
Another important development:
The Bitcoin Dominance chart recently showed a bearish MACD crossover.
Some analysts believe this isn’t just a temporary technical signal…
It could be the beginning of a broader market structure shift.
That said, this does not necessarily mean Bitcoin’s bull market is over.
In fact, several on-chain indicators still suggest the market may be in the early stages of a larger cycle:

📌 MVRV ratios remain below previous cycle peaks
