XRP Price Prediction as Ripple Files for a National Bank License

Ripple has officially filed for a national bank license in the United States. If approved, the application would make it one of the few cryptocurrency companies to have both state and federal oversight, marking a step closer to traditional finance.

In keeping with its long tradition of regulatory compliance, @Ripple is applying for a national bank license from the OCC. If approved, we would have both state (via the NYDFS) and federal oversight, setting a new (and unique!) benchmark for trust in the stablecoin market.

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced the news, stating, “In keeping with its long tradition of regulatory compliance, Ripple is applying for a national bank license from the OCC.”  He said that receiving both state approval (via the New York Financial Regulator) and a national charter would set a new benchmark for trust in the stablecoin market.
