Peter Schiff Says Bitcoin Price Will Be Below $60,000 When Strategy Hits 5% of Total Supply
Gold advocate and longtime Bitcoin critic Peter Schiff has taken direct aim at Michael Saylor’s most famous prediction, and the math he is using is simple enough to make Bitcoin bulls uncomfortable.

In 2025, Saylor predicted Bitcoin would hit $1 million per coin if Strategy accumulated 5% of the total supply. Strategy currently owns 3.9%, having just added another 3,273 Bitcoin last week at an average price of $77,906 per coin. The company now holds 818,334 BTC acquired for approximately $61.8 billion in total.

If buying the last 231,666 Bitcoin had a certain impact on price, buying the next 231,666 to reach the 5% threshold should have a comparable effect. Based on that logic, Schiff concludes Bitcoin will be trading below $60,000 by the time Strategy reaches its target, not $1 million.

“Bitcoin will be below $60,000 when MSTR finally hits 5%,” Schiff wrote on X, where the post drew more than 56,000 views within hours.

Here’s how $1.6B RLUSD market cap could strengthen XRP’s Q2 bull case

A blockchain with its own native stablecoin can go a long way in capturing strong network activity.

Currently, Ripple’s [$XRP] $RLUSD stablecoin is demonstrating this mechanism in real time. According to CoinMarketCap, $RLUSD’s market cap has reached a record $1.6 billion, reflecting $370 million added in supply this month alone, roughly a 30% expansion in circulating supply. Notably, this growth has aligned with $XRP’s 6% rally at press time.

However, the stronger signal appears on-chain. Data from Token Terminal shows $RLUSD transfer volume reaching new milestones. In Q1, transfer volume climbed to $18.4 billion, the highest level on record, with March contributing over 55% of total quarterly activity.

Within this context, XRPL’s stablecoin structure is gaining structural importance.

According to DeFiLlama, total stablecoin supply on XRPL has increased by over 4% this week. That’s roughly $16.7 million in added liquidity. $RLUSD remains the dominant asset, with supply at $381 million following a 20% monthly expansion, representing nearly 88% of the network’s total stablecoin liquidity.

Naturally, here’s where $RLUSD’s rising transfer volume becomes critical.

As more value flows through $RLUSD for payments and settlements, overall network activity increases. This, in turn, reinforces its position as the primary settlement asset on XRPL. With XRPL now showing clear $RLUSD-led stablecoin dominance, the key question follows: Does $RLUSD reaching a market cap all-time high signal a potential utility-driven upside for $XRP?

Israeli regulators approve shekel-pegged stablecoin

Israel’s Capital Market, Insurance and Savings Authority has greenlit the launch of a shekel-pegged stablecoin by the virtual exchange exchange Bits of Gold.

In a Monday notice, the Israeli regulator said that it had granted approval of the BILS stablecoin after a two-year pilot program of the stablecoin on the Solana blockchain.

According to the announcement, the stablecoin’s reserve assets will be held in Israel in “designated and separate accounts.” The project was part of a larger effort by the Israel Tax Authority and the country’s Finance ministry to regulate the crypto industry, including by allowing certain stablecoin activities.

“BILS creates a direct bridge between the Israeli shekel and the global digital assets economy, enabling real-time payments, on-chain trading and programmable financial applications based on a regulated local currency,“ said Bits of Gold founder and CEO Youval Rouach.

As of Monday, the global stablecoin market capitalization was more than $320 billion, dominated by US dollar-pegged stablecoins like Tether's USDt (USDT).

The launch of BILS, as one of the first Israeli shekel-pegged coins, came as the fiat currency was at a 30-year high against the US dollar, at 1 ILS to 0.34 USD at the time of publication.

In the United States, lawmakers continue to debate provisions within a digital asset market structure bill over stablecoin yield, tokenized equities, and ethics concerns related to US President Donald Trump's potential conflicts of interest with the industry. South Korea’s internet-only lender K bank has signed a strategic partnership with Ripple to test blockchain-based overseas remittances, marking another bank-facing expansion for Ripple’s payments infrastructure in Asia.

The agreement, announced Monday by K bank and first reported by The Korea Herald, was signed at the lender’s headquarters in Seoul. K bank CEO Choi Woo-hyung and Ripple Asia-Pacific Managing Director Fiona Murray attended the ceremony alongside officials from both companies.

K Bank Taps Ripple For Blockchain Remittance Tests
The partnership centers on whether Ripple’s global network and blockchain infrastructure can improve the speed, cost efficiency and transparency of K bank’s overseas remittance system. For Ripple, the deal extends its long-running institutional payments strategy into South Korea’s digital banking market. For K bank, it gives the lender a live testing track for blockchain-based cross-border settlement at a time when stablecoins and tokenized payment rails are becoming a more serious part of bank-level infrastructure discussions.

“We are pleased to partner with K bank, which has helped set the standard for digital banking in Korea and continues to drive innovation,” Murray said. “This partnership will help strengthen K bank’s competitiveness in blockchain-based overseas remittance technology,” Choi said.

K bank is already conducting a proof of concept with Ripple for overseas remittances. According to the bank, the first phase tested transfers through a separate application, while the second phase is now assessing transaction stability by virtually linking customer accounts with internal systems. That detail is notable because it suggests the project is moving beyond a standalone test environment and toward a model that examines how blockchain-based remittance infrastructure could interact

Ethereum (ETH) is closing April above $2.3k, pressed against the same $2.4k resistance it has tested repeatedly since mid-March without a clean break.

The cryptocurrency sits at the threshold of its most significant breakout in months or another rejection at the gate.

What has changed on the daily chart over the past four weeks is not the resistance, but the floor beneath it.

Each pullback has found support at a higher level, climbing from the $2k area to $2.1k and now to roughly $2.2k near the 100-day simple moving average.

The RSI holds in the high-50s, a reading that lacks the momentum collapse seen before earlier failed attempts but still falls short of the strength needed to clear $2.4k.

Funding Rates And Trader Outlook
Phemex analysts point to open interest stabilizing near $30 billion, framing the setup as a leverage reset rather than capitulation.

ETH funding sits at -0.0044, a mixed reading rather than the deeply negative posture seen on Bitcoin, leaving fewer trapped shorts to fuel a squeeze.

A close below the $2.3k trendline opens the $2.1k to $2k zone, while losing $1.8k would unwind the recovery that began in February.

The current setup follows a sharp slide from roughly $3,500 in late January to $1,840 in February, after which ETH ground sideways through March before April's higher-lows sequence took shape.
