Aave announced that the recovery process regarding the rsETH crisis has entered its second phase. The protocol stated that the attacker positions opened after the April 18th vulnerability were completely liquidated on Aave V3 on May 6th.

According to the statement, a vote had previously been held to return approximately $71 million worth of ETH, previously recovered by Arbitrum DAO, to Aave users. However, these funds had been temporarily frozen by plaintiffs who held a decision in a lawsuit against North Korea.

The AI narrative is slowly taking over the crypto space, improving speeds and volume traded. Akash Network is the latest to benefit from the AI infrastructure, with its price surging 17% in 24 hours.

Akash’s AI model built by Overclock Labs was crushing other LLMs on OpenRouter. Here is how the model increased the trading activity on the network.

Akash Network’s AI model increases daily token volume

As per data from OpenRouter, AkashML reached a new all-time high of 6.58 billion tokens processed in the last 24 hours. The team achieved this milestone in less than two months after launching the product.

Worth noting, processing over 5 billion tokens per day has become the norm since toward the end of April. April alone processed almost 120 billion tokens.

The founder of Akash Network, Greg Osuri, echoed this incredible milestone. Some users were using $AKT to host on the network without being aware of it. Greg wrote on X,

In addition to Greg Osuri’s backing, Forbes also supported the initiative. Forbes named Akash Network alongside Render Network [RENDER] and Bittensor [TAO] as the core AI infrastructures powering decentralized computing.

Forbes called them the layers that would eliminate the need for centralized cloud providers entirely.

As such, token trading volume on the network surged immensely and continues to do so.

Network capacity analysis

The network capacity showed that there were 61 active providers, with computing power rising by almost a percent during the day. Over 11.12K CPUs were at work.

On the contrary, GPUs available had declined by 3.98%, reaching 217. Memory and storage were also down at the time of press.

Despite a broader altcoin market resurgence, the new product primarily drove DeepBook.

The DeepBook protocol, built on the Sui Network [SUI], announced the launch of its new prediction market platform, Predict. The platform went live as the team dropped the Predict Waitlist.

Predict allows betting on any asset at any price range with leverage. This new utility sparked immediate speculative interest, with daily trading volume exploding by 976% to over $60 million.

The price action charts confirmed the increase in speculative trading as $DEEP attempted to break past the consolidation. The altcoin had been moving sideways for the past 100 days.

The Choppiness Index reading sharply dropped to 32, suggesting the trend was strong. However, capital inflow remained in the negative territory as per Chaikin Money Flow (CMF).

A break past the range’s high at around $0.0380 would ignite reversal chances. However, for the bullish reversal to be confirmed on the daily chart, $DEEP has to reclaim the most recent lower high as support. This lower high was around $0.06.

If that reversal occurred, the next resistances that could curtail the uptrend were at $0.07 and $0.08. Sellers at these levels may react.

While the rally looked to be sustainable, the network’s activity gave a different story.

Following this daily surge, DeepBook’s whales were profiting. The PnL of most whales was in the green, with one particular address up more than 307%.

There were also a couple of other addresses that recorded double-digit gains. However, most of these whales were starting to take profit as per the data from Sui Vision.
