Ripple published an insight on May 7 detailing how its $25 million education commitment reached classrooms across the U.S. during the first year after the original pledge. Ripple said most of the original funding was delivered in $RLUSD, Ripple’s U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, supporting DonorsChoose and Teach For America programs tied to classroom materials, teacher stipends, tutoring, and financial literacy resources.

The update focused on results from Ripple’s earlier Teacher Appreciation Week commitment rather than a new funding announcement. DonorsChoose received $15 million, helping fund 48,108 classroom projects across all 50 states. Teachers requested books, science kits, technology, and supplies directly through the platform. Ripple said 86% of funded projects served schools where more than half of the students come from low-income households. U.S.-based employees also directed $25,700 to 378 projects at 336 schools.
