Solana is trading near $89 after a pullback from the $96 resistance area, keeping the $81.30 support level in focus for traders watching the next $SOL price move.

The 4-hour chart shared by MCO Global shows Solana correcting from its recent high after failing to clear the resistance region near $96. The analyst said the move makes a direct impulsive bullish scenario less likely in the short term.#

However, the broader bullish setup has not fully failed. MCO Global said the preferred bullish alternative remains a larger diagonal structure in a higher-degree wave C.

Solana now needs to stay above the red support zone near $81.30 to keep the possibility of another upward extension. If buyers defend that area, $SOL could attempt another move toward the $96 resistance level.

Russian authorities may permit the quite popular peer-to-peer trading of cryptocurrencies under the country’s upcoming rules for digital-asset transactions.

This is one of several proposals aimed at liberalizing the restrictive draft law currently under review, which also includes expanding the list of greenlighted coins.

Raising the investment limit for ordinary Russians

These are the key amendments recently suggested in the State Duma, which is still considering the country’s new law “On Digital Currency and Digital Rights.”

The full set of proposed changes has been sent to the Ministry of Finance by the Financial Markets Committee at the lower house of the parliament in Moscow.

They were presented by Dmitry Novikov, member of the right-wing nationalist Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), the Interfax news agency reported Friday, citing a knowledgeable source.

The move comes ahead of the second reading of the bill designed to comprehensively regulate operations with crypto assets in the Russian Federation.

The legislation, which overcame its first parliamentary hurdle last month, must be adopted and enforced by July 1, 2026, at the latest.

Based on a regulatory concept announced by Russia’s conservative central bank in December, it has attracted criticism for being overly restrictive.

Authorities say the man had planned to set himself on fire in the public space after experiencing cryptocurrency investment losses of 500,000 yuan (approximately $76,000).
Crypto losses are driving dangerous decisions
A 34-year-old mainland Chinese man, surnamed Li, invested in a cryptocurrency trading platform between February and May 2026. After losing the equivalent of roughly $76,000, he filed repeated complaints on the platform itself.

Li arrived in Hong Kong on May 13. The following morning, the platform’s staff noticed that he disclosed his travel itinerary through some posts and expressed intent to take his own life. The platform contacted Hong Kong’s Cybersecurity and Technology Crime Bureau, which tracked Li to a McDonald’s in Admiralty.

Officers recovered two containers of flammable liquid and determined he had planned to eat lunch at the McDonald’s before walking to nearby Hong Kong Park to carry out the act.

Since no one was injured and no evacuation was required, Li was arrested on suspicion of possessing items with intent to destroy or damage property. Hong Kong Island’s Regional Crime Unit is handling the case.
