WazirX Launches Low-Fee INR Futures Trading to Support Recovery Token PayoutsWazirX says its new INR-based futures trading platform could help rebuild user trust and support the company’s recovery after the 2024 cyberattack linked to North Korean hackers.

The exchange believes low-fee futures trading designed for Indian users can generate steady revenue and make trading easier for retail users who previously depended on $USDT-based systems.

In comments shared with Coin Edition, WazirX said futures trading is a key part of its relaunch and restructuring plans after the hack.

The company added that its goal is not only to grow the platform but also to regain user confidence through transparency, education, and responsible product design.

According to the Data, an Altcoin Network Is Being Abandoned Following Recent Events
Following the KelpDAO attack, the security of cross-chain infrastructures has once again become a topic of discussion in the cryptocurrency sector, and it has been reported that many protocols have moved away from the LayerZero infrastructure and switched to the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) system developed by Chainlink.
According to recent industry data, approximately $4 billion worth of assets have either migrated or are in the process of migrating from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP.
Following the $292 million loss resulting from the KelpDAO attack on May 16, scrutiny of cross-chain security has intensified, and the DeFi protocol Lombard has become the latest project to join the migration wave. In a statement, the company announced that after a comprehensive internal security review, it has discontinued its use of LayerZero and migrated over $1 billion worth of Bitcoin-backed assets to the Chainlink CCIP infrastructure.

Lombard announced it will issue two Bitcoin-backed tokens, LBTC and BTC.b, while prioritizing asset transfers to the Solana, Etherlink, Berachain, Corn, and TAC networks. The protocol also stated it will completely end the use of LayerZero on Morph and Swell.

Jito Labs is moving up the stack from infrastructure to consumer-facing products with JTX, a new trading terminal aimed at "pro-retail" traders, according to Jito Labs co-founder and CEO Lucas Bruder.

It’s something of a leap for Jito, which runs MEV and validator infrastructure for Solana, and is now considered by many to be a core component of that ecosystem.

But the move comes at a unique time, Bruder said while speaking to The Block's multimedia team at Consensus Miami earlier this month. After the success of the memecoin breakout on Solana in 2024, the blockchain has proved it can handle scale and now runs "butter smooth."

Plus, now that Wall Street is moving onchain, real mainstream users, not just crypto traders, will likely flock to Solana.
