Bitcoin Price Eyes a Bullish Pattern Formation Above $74,177
The 12-hour chart shows how Bitcoin could break through the cluster. Bitcoin trades at $77,250 on May 25 with the chart printing an early-stage inverse head and shoulders pattern. The structure is incomplete, with the left shoulder and head visible but the right shoulder still forming.

The head bottomed at $74,177 on May 22, coinciding with the deepest sentiment drop. The first trigger for the pattern would be a rejection at the $78,125 neckline. Such a rejection would send Bitcoin into a higher low between $76,040 and $74,177 to form the right shoulder. The prospective $78,125 neckline also aligns with the supply cluster discussed earlier.Bitcoin Price Analysis: TradingView
A 12-hour close above $78,125, post the right shoulder formation, followed by a clean breakout above $79,057 confirms the pattern. The measured move projects a 5% surge to $82,073 from neckline confirmation. A 12-hour close below $74,177 invalidates the structure and weakens the whale accumulation case.

Note: Even the lack of rejection at $78,125 keeps the pattern alive. It just pushes the neckline higher.

The chart, supply cluster, and whale positioning point to one read. A proactive setup is forming as whales position ahead of the breakout while retail reacts to fear.

According to monitoring by Beating, Elon Musk announced on X that xAI is planning to open-source the base model of Grok 4.2 by the end of 2026. The model reportedly contains around 0.5 trillion (500 billion) parameters.
While the parameter size is relatively modest compared to the most extreme large-scale models, Musk emphasized that the open-source release will still provide strong practical value for the developer community, particularly in natural language processing and basic reasoning tasks.
However, he also acknowledged limitations in the current underlying model. Due to issues in the quality, coverage, and balance of training data, Grok 4.2 still struggles with high-difficulty programming and complex problem-solving tasks. Despite this, the 500B-parameter base model continues to show solid performance in everyday NLP workloads and foundational reasoning.
This move continues xAI’s broader open-source strategy. In March 2024, the company previously open-sourced Grok-1, a 314B-parameter model, which was one of the largest open-source AI models at the time and drew significant industry attention.
With Grok 4.2 expected to go open-source, xAI is further pushing the boundaries of openness in large-scale AI development, intensifying competition in the rapidly evolving open-model ecosystem.

He emphasized that the Ethereum Foundation is ‘one node with a defined purpose, alongside others,’ rather than the ‘center of Ethereum.’ Given EF’s limited size, resources, and organizational capacity, he reiterated his view that the foundation should remain a supporting node, not the core authority. 

This is because, compared to many other individual ETH holders, the EF only holds about 0.16% of all ETH, while a “central foundation” typically holds between 10% and 50%. 

Buterin added, 

It [Ethereum Foundation] was not designed to be an eternal steward.

This further explains why the Foundation is also focusing on fewer priorities as a result of its redesigned mandate—the CROPS (security, privacy, openness, and resistance to censorship) dimension.

A return to the privacy narrative drove the recent $RAIL rally, while trading volumes reached $7.5M, about 10 times their usual levels. In the year to date, $RAIL is up more than 128%, after having its steepest rally for the past few months.

What makes $RAIL an exception is that it is mostly traded on decentralized exchanges, and has remained a relatively niche project. Now, Railgun, the Ethereum-based mixer and privacy platform, has taken the spotlight once again.

$RAIL peaked at $4.51, before retreating to $4.05, with increased volatility in the past day. The token is close to its all-time peak above $5, and expects to enter price discovery and a new price range. Despite this, Railgun remains a relatively small project, with limited liquidity compared to other privacy assets.

More than 60% of $RAIL trading depends on Uniswap pairs and direct on-chain trading. $RAIL has not been listed by any centralized exchanges, and has turned into the privacy layer of Ethereum.

Why is $RAIL rallying?
$RAIL has received more mentions from crypto influencers, driving attention to the privacy narrative. The token has also benefited from the rising activity around $ZEC and $XMR, as well as a general attempt to return crypto usage to privacy. Recently, Bary Silbert, Chairman of Grayscale, revived the privacy narrative in crypto, just after the fund accelerated its $ZEC exposure.
