First Long-Horizon Doc2Repo Training Dataset: Code Agents Move Beyond Bug Fixing and Begin Creating Repositories

With the advancement of LLM Code Agents, the research focus is shifting towards long-horizon, real-world tasks, moving beyond simple bug fixes to full repository generation. To address this, researchers from Renmin University of China introduced the DeNovoSWE dataset. This dataset focuses on long-term software engineering tasks, specifically the "document-to-repository" challenge—generating an entire, executable code repository from a task description. The DeNovoSWE construction method employs a Divide & Conquer approach. It breaks down target repositories into core capabilities and uses a multi-agent Draft-Critic-Repair workflow to automatically generate high-quality, evaluation-aligned task documents. The dataset also implements difficulty-aware filtering to balance quality and diversity. The result is a high-quality, anti-leakage dataset of 4,818 instances. Experiments show that models trained on DeNovoSWE achieve significant improvements in long-horizon repository generation. For instance, Qwen3-30B-A3B-Instruct's performance on the BeyondSWE-Doc2Repo benchmark increased from 5.8% to 47.2%, and on NL2RepoBench from 4.3% to 23.0%. Similar gains were observed with stronger backbones, demonstrating that dedicated long-horizon training data is crucial for advancing Code Agents from maintainers to architects capable of planning and building complete software projects from scratch.

Senator Lummis Pushes For CLARITY Act Vote Before Recess

Senator Cynthia Lummis is advocating for a Senate vote on the CLARITY Act before the upcoming recess, highlighting its continued importance for U.S. crypto market-structure legislation. The bill aims to provide clear regulatory frameworks, distinguishing how digital assets are classified and overseen by agencies like the SEC and CFTC. Its advancement is seen as crucial for reducing industry uncertainty, potentially encouraging institutional investment by clarifying legal treatment and compliance requirements. Market observers view progress on this legislation as a key indicator of whether U.S. crypto policy can transition from debate to established law, impacting exchanges, custody services, and broader market sentiment. Conversely, further delays could perpetuate a fragmented, enforcement-heavy regulatory environment.

No Bull Market for BTC Without STRC Re-pegging

Summary: The sustained de-pegging of MicroStrategy's (MSTR) Strategy Preferred Shares (STRC) poses a severe threat to Bitcoin (BTC) and could prevent a bull market. STRC, designed to trade near a $100 target, has plunged to around $75, effectively shutting down MicroStrategy's cheapest and most efficient funding channel. This channel was critical for its "raise funds, buy BTC" business model. More critically, MicroStrategy now faces a massive cash outflow from these preferred shares. With approximately $10.49 billion of STRC outstanding at an 11.5% dividend yield, the annual cash obligation exceeds $1.2 billion. Combined with other preferred shares, the total annual payout nears $1.7 billion, depleting its current ~$1.4 billion cash reserve within a year. To address this, MicroStrategy is increasingly relying on common stock (MSTR) offerings via its ATM program. However, recent sales show most raised capital is now used to bolster cash reserves rather than buy more Bitcoin. This dilutes the key metric of BTC per share for common stockholders, eroding the foundation of its premium valuation. If STRC cannot re-peg, this costly dilution may continue. Worse, if cash pressure intensifies, selling Bitcoin becomes a real risk. As the largest corporate BTC holder (~847,363 BTC), any significant sales could crash the market. Thus, MicroStrategy is transforming from BTC's most reliable institutional buyer into a major potential seller, casting a significant shadow over Bitcoin's price prospects.

Decred breaks multi-month downtrend – Can DCR hit $16.68 next?

Decred (DCR) surged 24% in 24 hours, breaking a multi-month downtrend and drawing renewed market attention with trading volume spiking over 400%. Despite the sharp price rise, data showed sellers remained active, though buyers absorbed the pressure. The rally featured increased whale-sized orders, indicating stronger institutional participation. Technically, DCR broke above a key descending channel and rebounded from support near $10.67, now targeting the next major resistance at $16.68. The Relative Strength Index entered overbought territory, signaling strong buying but potential short-term exhaustion. For the recovery to continue toward $16.68, buyers must sustain momentum and defend the breakout level against persistent selling pressure.

Bitcoin banking adoption hits 32%, but ‘we’re still early,’ says Strategy’s Saylor

Major banks are accelerating Bitcoin adoption, reaching a 32% overall adoption rate according to Michael Saylor's Bitcoin Banking Adoption Index. However, Saylor notes this adoption is "still early." Fidelity leads with a 71% rating, followed by BNY Mellon and Goldman Sachs. A key finding is banks' preference for using Spot Bitcoin ETFs, rather than physical BTC, as collateral for credit—a practice that remains relatively low. This is significant for Saylor's vision of turning his firm, Strategy, into a "Bitcoin bank" that uses its BTC holdings to create new credit instruments. The current data suggests treating Bitcoin as high-quality collateral is not yet widespread, making this vision a longer-term prospect. In related news, Strategy has increased its cash reserves to $3 billion, providing 20 months of coverage for its obligations, following analyst recommendations to bolster financial stability. While the "Bitcoin bank" concept faces hurdles, growing bank engagement indicates potential future viability.
