NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang Visits Korea, Meets with Faker: Korea as the Origin of Esports

On June 5, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang visited Seoul's Hongdae T1 base as the first stop of his trip to Korea, where he met with 'League of Legends' player Faker, Lee Sang-hyeok, drawing attention from the esports community. Huang stated that Korea is the birthplace of esports and a shaper of viewing culture, with numerous top Korean players contributing to the success of GeForce graphics cards. He emphasized that Korea holds a special place in his heart and is a very important market for NVIDIA, saying, 'We are also your fans.' This meeting took place at the T1 base, attended by T1 players Doran, Oner, Peyz, Keria, and T1 COO Ahn Yong-ki. The exchange continued the previous collaboration on projects like 'VALORANT.' During the interaction, when asked about the graphics card he uses, Faker responded with '5070,' which sparked interest. Huang also introduced NVIDIA's next-generation AI PC platform, RTX Spark, stating it will become a new computing architecture for the future AI era. Faker expressed that the meeting with the NVIDIA CEO was very meaningful and thanked the support from technology and industry for the development of professional esports. (Zdnet)
