SpaceX IPO Expected to Increase Wealth of Trump Administration Officials; Disclosure Reveals Multiple Stakeholders

On June 4, reports indicated that SpaceX's initial public offering is likely to further enrich officials from the Trump administration. According to recently disclosed financial documents, 10 officials, including presidential envoy Witkoff and Small Business Administration Administrator Kelly Loeffler, have reported holding stakes in Musk's rocket company SpaceX or xAI. The disclosure documents show that these federal officials collectively hold shares in SpaceX or xAI valued at least $9.9 million and up to $43.8 million. The disclosures were made last year, with asset values listed within a broad range.
