On April 25, U.S. President Trump posted on social media, stating: "Those people and companies that have been taking advantage of our country for decades are now trying to reclaim $159 billion, which stems from a terrible and absurd ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court on tariffs. If they had just added a short half sentence - 'the U.S. does not have to refund payments already made' - our country would have saved $159 billion. This is worth more than the total value of most countries! Just think, with a half sentence, we could have saved $159 billion. Can't they do this for our country?"
