ficonTEC Partners with NVIDIA to Develop Next-Generation CPO and Optical Interconnect Technology

On June 16, ficonTEC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Robotech, announced progress in its collaboration with NVIDIA. The two companies are working together to develop scalable manufacturing and testing solutions for next-generation Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) and AI-driven optical interconnect infrastructure. This partnership combines NVIDIA's leading advantages in AI infrastructure and CPO architecture with ficonTEC's 25 years of technical expertise in high-precision photonic device alignment, automated assembly, and optical testing systems. Both parties are advancing the development of innovative manufacturing and testing methods to accelerate the commercialization of next-generation silicon photonic devices and optical engines in large-scale AI data centers. ficonTEC emphasized the importance of an advanced photonic manufacturing ecosystem, noting that the future large-scale deployment of AI infrastructure will increasingly rely on advanced manufacturing systems capable of supporting high-yield production, process consistency, yield optimization, and the scalable implementation of optical interconnect technology.
