IPFS Network Releases New Mobile Application Durin

Durin is a new mobile app for iOS and Android that allows users to access and share content on the IPFS network from their phones. Since mobile devices are transiently connected, the app connects to multiple public IPFS gateways to determine the fastest route. The app registers as an IPFS protocol handler to redirect ipfs:// links to the app. For sharing content, the app uses a pinning service since mobile devices are not good servers. The app is meant as an experiment to learn how to best integrate IPFS into mobile operating systems. The developers hope to improve user control of data while providing remote storage options.
