Israeli Military States US to Deploy Tankers to Air Force Base

On July 18, according to CCTV News, the Israeli military announced that dozens of aerial refueling tankers to be sent by the United States will land and be deployed at an Israeli Air Force base, rather than at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport. The Israeli military stated that this move aims to minimize the impact on civil aviation. Previously, Israel's Ministry of Transportation had limited the number of US refueling tankers stationed at Ben Gurion International Airport to 20, in order to alleviate disruptions to civil aviation flights during the peak summer travel season. The report indicated that the decision to deploy the tankers to the Israeli Air Force base was made by the US and coordinated with the Israeli military to ensure that the air force could prepare accordingly.
