On June 23, a U.S. official stated that, in light of repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement by Israel and Hezbollah, which threaten the progress of U.S.-Iran negotiations, the United States has established a "monitoring mechanism" for the situation in Lebanon. The official revealed that Secretary of State Rubio spoke separately with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Lebanese President Aoun on the 19th to discuss matters related to "strengthening the ceasefire and future negotiations." Following these calls, the U.S. initiated a monitoring mechanism through Central Command to ensure that decision-makers can accurately and in real-time understand the combat situation within Lebanon.
