Bitcoin open interest has plunged over 31% from its 2025 peak, now stabilizing around $10 billion as analysts identify this decline as a critical bottoming formation that could propel BTC toward a $105,000 breakout.

The deleveraging phase, triggered by massive liquidations, has pushed open interest below its 180-day moving average while trading activity continues surging with spot volume approaching $60 billion.

On-chain analysis from Darkorst characterized 2025 as a year of unprecedented speculation, with Binance futures trading volumes alone exceeding $25 trillion.

Bitcoin’s open interest exploded to an all-time high above $15 billion on October 6, nearly tripling the $5.7 billion peak witnessed during the November 2021 bull run when Bitcoin reached its previous all-time high.

Ethereum is showing renewed strength. The price is up nearly 7% over the past 24 hours and has extended its recent recovery, pushing decisively higher on the 12-hour chart.

That move was not random. Ethereum has now broken out of a cup-and-handle pattern, a structure that often signals trend continuation when confirmed with volume.

The breakout places the $4,000 level back into focus. Still, while the structure looks constructive, several momentum and on-chain signals suggest the possible rally might not be risk-free.

Ethereum Confirms Cup-and-Handle Breakout as Volume Supports the Move

On the 12-hour chart, Ethereum has completed a cup-and-handle formation with a slightly downward-sloping neckline. That slope matters.

A falling neckline means buyers must absorb sell pressure across multiple levels, not just clear a flat resistance in one move. In simple terms, the recovery requires more strength, which is why the price continues to work its way higher instead of breaking out in a single impulse.

On January 13, Ethereum finally pushed through that neckline and followed with a strong bullish candle. Volume is the key confirmation.

The breakout came with expanding green volume, showing that buyers were stepping in with conviction rather than price drifting higher on thin liquidity. That participation reduces the risk of a quick false move, even if the follow-through is gradual rather than explosive.

解读“崩溃线”模式

市场分析师 Crypto Tice 最近指出，在经历约 33.38% 的显著价格回调后，比特币已重返这一特定趋势线。从历史经验看，“崩溃线”更多扮演的是“重新装载点”（Reload Point）的角色，而非结构性失效的信号。在当前的周期中，比特币曾两次重演这一行为，分别在经历约 33.10% 和 30.97% 的回调后触底，随后开启了强劲的反弹。

这一模式的运行机制通常遵循三个阶段：

 * 动能过热： 买方将价格推至不可持续的高位，导致市场杠杆过度累积。

 * 清洗杠杆： 随之而来的是剧烈回调，清算多头杠杆并释放抛售压力。

 * 扩张阶段： 一旦价格在作为“过渡点”的崩溃线企稳，市场便完成重置，为整体上升趋势的健康延续奠定基础。

当前市场的僵局

尽管历史支撑位带来了乐观情绪，但其他专家仍持谨慎态度。市场分析师 Crypto King 指出，比特币目前正处于“非交易区”。虽然资产价格已收复 90,000 美元关口，但流动性和散户参与度已开始缩减。这种横盘整理的走势容易产生虚假突破，增加了交易者建立高信心头寸的难度。

需重点关注的关键点位

比特币短期的走势取决于其能否将关键阻力位转化为支撑位。分析师将 92,000 美元视为枢纽水平：若能持续站稳该点位，将确认“崩溃线”反弹有效，并开启新的看涨阶段。

反之，如果无法维持当前水平，则可能面临更深的回撤。下方的首要目标位是 88,000 美元的芝加哥商业交易所（CME）缺口，在低波动时期，该缺口通常具有价格引力。在更悲观的情况下，次级需求区位于 50,000 美元至 60,000 美元之间。

Ethereum Staking Amount Reaches All-Time High! Here Are the Details

Staking activity on the Ethereum network has reached a historic high. The amount of Ethereum (ETH) locked under the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mechanism has hit an all-time high, driven by increasing interest from institutional investors. This growth is noteworthy despite the generally more selective liquidity in the cryptocurrency market.

According to data, the amount of ETH staked on Ethereum’s Beacon Chain has exceeded 36 million, reaching approximately 30% of the circulating supply. This figure indicates a staked market capitalization of over $118 billion. The previous record was set in July 2025 at 29.54%. While the price of Ether has risen by approximately 11% since the beginning of the year, a more than 5% increase in the last 24 hours has given additional impetus to staking activity.

The number of active validators on the Ethereum network has reached approximately 900,000, while the amount of ETH waiting to be added to the system is measured at 2.3 million. However, the fact that the validator exit queue remains at historically low levels indicates that the selling pressure from existing stakers is limited.

Staking forms the basis of network security, but locking up a larger portion of the circulating supply can reduce liquid supply during periods of increased demand. In this area, Lido Finance is the largest liquid staking provider with approximately 24% market share.

One of the most significant drivers behind the recent growth in staking has been institutional investors. BitMine Immersion, headed by Tom Lee, has rapidly increased both its ETH holdings and staking position. The company’s total holdings of 4.17 million ETH represent more than 3.45% of the circulating supply, with 1.25 million ETH already staked.
