MANTRA Chain, a Tier-1 blockchain network focused on real-world asset (RWA) tokenization, has temporarily halted network operations due to an unexplained incident. The team stated that all network transactions have been suspended as a precautionary measure to limit potential risks and investigate the source of the incident.
MANTRA communicated via X that it is aware of an incident affecting the network and that MANTRA Chain operations are suspended until the investigation is complete. According to the statement, all access points and transactions on the network are currently frozen.
The network halt also affects deposit and withdrawal operations on the MANTRA platform. The team warned users to refrain from making new transactions and wait for further information on this matter.
According to information on the official MANTRA project status page, engineering and security teams are working with external partners to determine the cause of the incident and resolve the issue. The project has also requested exchanges and ecosystem partners to halt trading of MANTRA's native token until the issue is resolved.
The team stated that the root cause of the incident is not yet established, and there is no precise timeline for network resumption. As investors closely followed developments, the MANTRA token also experienced a sharp decline. Over the past 24 hours, the token lost 9.9% of its value, dropping to $0.004406.
Recently, MANTRA has been in the spotlight regarding its restructuring process. Inveniam Capital Partners, a strategic investor in the project, announced in June its acquisition of the platform. The deal is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026. This acquisition plan emerged after a major crash of the MANTRA token in 2025 and subsequent restructuring and downsizing.
