В заявлении на официальном сайте было указано следующее:

“VanEck постоянно отслеживает и оценивает свои предложения ETF по ряду факторов, включая производительность, ликвидность, активы под управлением и интерес инвесторов, среди прочего. Решение о ликвидации фонда было принято на основе анализа этих факторов и других операционных соображений”.
Акционеры, владеющие акциями на дату ликвидации, которая ожидается 23 сентября, получат денежную выплату на основе их активов, которая будет зачислена на их брокерские счета. Также компания указала, что окончательный налоговый статус распределений, произведенных фондом, включая ликвидационное распределение, будет предоставлен акционерам вместе с налоговой отчетностью фонда в конце года.

Vaneck запустила спотовый ЕТН-ETF 23 июля, после дебюта спотового биткоин-ETF, запущенного 11 января. С момента запуска спотовый биткоин-ETF зафиксировал 574,32 млн долларов общего притока и содержит резервы в BTC на сумму 605 млн долларов. В то время как спотовый ЕТН-ETF привлек 63,06 млн долларов притока и содержит примерно 55,56 млн долларов в резервах ЕТН.
