On April 10, Solayer founder @Fried_rice posted on social media that large language model (LLM) agents are increasingly relying on third-party API routers to dispatch tool invocation requests to multiple upstream providers. These routers operate as application layer proxies and can access each transmitted JSON payload in plaintext, yet currently, no provider enforces encryption integrity protection between the client and upstream models. The study tested 28 paid routers purchased from Taobao, Xianyu, and independent Shopify sites, as well as 400 free routers collected from public communities. The results revealed that 1 paid router and 8 free routers were actively injecting malicious code, 2 deployed adaptive evasion triggers, 17 interacted with AWS Canary credentials owned by the researchers, and 1 stole ETH from a private key held by the researchers. Further poisoning studies indicated that seemingly harmless routers could also be exploited: a leaked OpenAI key was used to generate 100 million GPT-5.4 tokens and over 7 Codex sessions; while a poorly configured bait produced 2 billion billable tokens, 99 credentials across 440 Codex sessions, and 401 sessions already running in autonomous YOLO mode. The research team developed an experimental proxy named Mine, capable of implementing all four types of attacks on four public proxy frameworks, and validated three client-side defense mechanisms: fault isolation policy gating, response anomaly screening, and append-only transparent logging.

An analysis of the Arkham Intelligence dashboard CryptoSlate Research shows Genesis received  $932.56 million worth of FTT tokens from FTX within the last three months, while it received $141.1 million worth of struggling tokens from Alameda Research during the same period.
At its peak, Genesis trading assets were almost $5 billion. As of press time, the firm’s trading assets are worth roughly $238 million, according to the Arkham Intelligence dashboard.
On Nov. 16, a Genesis-labelled address processed its single-largest transactions. Arkham Intelligence tweeted on Nov. 18 that over $100 million in USDCoin (USDC) were transferred to the Genesis over-the-counter (OTC) address, and that address subsequently deposited $105 million USDC to Circle.
According to the dashboard, Genesis OTC has processed $250.9 million USDC redemption within the last seven days. During the same period, the OTC also processed $18.3 million USDT redemption and $20 million DAI redemption.
