On April 28, Iranian Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian stated that he met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Saint Petersburg on the same day, and they had a 'productive' discussion lasting one and a half hours. During his visit to Russia, Amir-Abdollahian posted on social media that the two sides discussed and examined various topics in detail, including bilateral relations between Iran and Russia, regional issues, and the aggressive wars initiated by the United States and Israel. Both sides also proposed many beneficial suggestions for deepening cooperation between the two countries. Currently, the foundation of cooperation between Iran and Russia is solid. Amir-Abdollahian mentioned that Putin expressed admiration for the Iranian people, stating that 'the entire world admires them for resisting the United States.' He thanked the Russian side for their support during 'this unequal and unjust war' and announced that the strategic partnership between the two countries will continue to strengthen under the new circumstances. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also stated that the meeting between Putin and Amir-Abdollahian was 'productive and constructive.' (Xinhua News Agency)
