BitMart has started a phased shutdown of its global cryptocurrency exchange after reviewing its operating conditions, market environment, and future strategy.

According to the official shutdown notice, the exchange stopped new registrations, cryptocurrency and fiat deposits, and new spot orders from 01:30 UTC on July 26. Futures accounts entered reduce-only mode, while copy trading, grid trading, API trading, and other automated services began winding down.

The exchange will end all spot, futures, and other trading services at 01:00 UTC on August 26. However, the full platform will not close on that date. BitMart plans to terminate trading-platform operations at 15:59 UTC on January 31, 2027. Users will retain limited account access for a period after that date to review records and submit withdrawals.

BitMart told users to close all positions before 01:00 UTC on August 26 and recommended submitting withdrawals before 05:00 UTC the same day. Withdrawals remain open, but requests may face identity, source-of-funds, wallet ownership, sanctions, Travel Rule, and security reviews. Heavy demand or network congestion may extend processing times.

The exchange asked customers to cancel open orders, redeem eligible Earn, staking, and lending products, and download account records. BitMart may settle any futures positions still open when trading ends using its mark price, index price, or other applicable rules. Users who miss the recommended withdrawal period will enter a separate process that BitMart plans to explain later.

XRP Price on Edge as ETF Inflows Head for Worst Performance Since April
$XRP has remained on edge for nearly two months as the crypto winter continues. The token was most recently trading at $1.1022, still confined within the $1.0077 support level and $1.2898 resistance level that have defined its range throughout this period.

$XRP ETF Inflows Have Stalled

The Ripple token has wavered as demand from Wall Street investors has waned. SoSoValue data shows that spot $XRP ETFs added no assets in the last three market days.

These funds attracted $12.3 million in inflows this month, the weakest performance since April. They had added $59 million in June and $131 million in May. In total, the funds have received cumulative inflows of $1.4 billion and currently hold $997 million in assets.

One reason for the waning crypto ETF inflows is that investors have shifted to the stock market. Some of the most active funds this year are those tracking the S&P 500 Index and the recently launched Roundhill Memory ETF .

On the positive side, Ripple Labs is working on improving $XRP Ledger’s utility. In a statement this week, t54, a company behind XRPL x402 Facilitator, AI agent payments on XRPL now support Mastercard’s Verifiable Intent (VI) standard. Through this integration, developers can prove who authorized a payment, under what limits, and for which purchases.

$XRP Price is Stuck in a Tight Range

The daily chart shows that the $XRP token has remained in a tight range in the past two months. It has remained above the key support level of $1.007 and resistance at $1.2898.

The token has dropped below the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA), while the Relative Strength Index (RSI) has dropped below the neutral level of 50.

Therefore, the token may continue falling, potentially to the key support level of $1. A drop below that level will point to more downside, potentially to the psychological point at $0.50.

Crypto exchange Coinbase (Nasdaq: COIN) has started preparing its custody systems and infrastructure for a future in which powerful quantum computers could defeat the cryptography protecting Bitcoin, Ethereum and other blockchain networks.

Coinbase Chief Information Security Officer Jeff Lunglhofer outlined the company’s position in a July 23 company blog post:

“A large-scale quantum computer capable of breaking current cryptography will eventually be built. No one knows exactly when. But the work to prepare needs to start now, not when it’s urgent.”

Ethereum ETF outflows raised fresh concerns over institutional demand after U.S. spot ETFs recorded a $70.7 million net outflow on July 24.

BlackRock accounted for the largest share of that activity after investors withdrew $52.8 million from its $ETH fund.

The figures interrupted a period of sustained inflows and shifted attention toward whether large investors had started locking in profits.

However, one trading session rarely defines a broader trend, especially after weeks of consistent institutional accumulation.

Instead, the latest withdrawal suggested that some investors had adopted a more cautious stance near key price resistance.

As a result, Ethereum faced greater scrutiny because sustained ETF outflows could reduce institutional demand and weaken bullish sentiment if similar withdrawals continued over the coming sessions.
