Bitcoin is trading above the $80,000 level, with $83,000 emerging as a critical resistance point for the market. Julio Moreno, Head of Research at CryptoQuant, noted that the 365-day moving average on Bitcoin’s daily chart represents a significant resistance level, potentially acting as the “last boss” in the current uptrend.

According to Moreno’s assessment, Bitcoin surpassing this moving average could pave the way for the cryptocurrency to advance to higher levels. The analyst stated that the 365-day moving average is around $83,000. Therefore, investors are expected to closely monitor Bitcoin’s price movements in this region in the short term.

According to the data, Bitcoin was trading at $80,868 at the time of writing. The cryptocurrency had gained 2.38 percent compared to the previous day. Thus, Bitcoin is approximately $2,100 away from the critical resistance level of $83,000.

In technical analysis, moving averages are used to assess the overall market trend by showing the average price of an asset over specific periods. The 365-day moving average is among the important indicators that long-term investors and analysts follow to examine the trend of Bitcoin.

It is believed that if Bitcoin breaks through the $83,000 resistance level, the market could maintain its upward momentum; however, failure to surpass this level could lead to short-term profit-taking or consolidation. Following the recent rapid rise, it is particularly important for investors to closely monitor changes in technical indicators.

Moreno’s statement suggests that Bitcoin is approaching a critical threshold in its current upward movement, with the $83,000 level emerging as a decisive area for the market’s short-term direction.

Monad’s proposal takes a different approach at the account level — where users could replace today’s cryptography with a quantum-resistant scheme without changing their wallet address or moving their assets.

The network has grown to roughly $939 million of crypto locked across its decentralized-finance applications, according to DefiLlama, with about $732 million in stablecoins and $329 million of decentralized-exchange trading over the past 24 hours. Its MON token was up about 2% on Tuesday.

According to data from crypto.news, $BNB ($BNB) price was trading near $704 at the time of writing, up about 1% over the previous 24 hours. The token had gained almost 16% over seven days, lifting its market capitalization to approximately $93 billion.

The rally accelerated after $BNB broke out of the $600–$620 range that had restricted price action during the first half of August. Buyers pushed the token through $650 on Aug. 20 before it briefly climbed above $720 over the weekend.

$BNB reached a weekly high near $725 before profit-taking pulled the price back below $690. Buyers absorbed the decline, however, and the token returned above the psychological $700 mark on Aug. 24.

The 4-hour chart showed $BNB forming higher lows following the pullback. Its latest candle traded between $692.94 and $705, indicating that buyers were defending dips below $700.

The token’s market capitalization briefly reached $1.21 million before crashing more than 90% to under $120,000 after the promotional post was removed.The unauthorized post appeared on Jenner’s account, which has millions of followers, and included a direct link to a Pump.fun page and a Solana token contract address. Within minutes, traders rushed to buy the token, driving its price and market cap upward. However, once the post was deleted—either by Jenner’s team or X’s security systems—the token’s value plummeted, leaving late buyers with significant losses.

This incident is part of a broader trend of celebrity social media accounts being hijacked to promote cryptocurrency scams. In recent months, similar attacks have targeted other high-profile figures, exploiting their reach to manipulate token prices for quick profits.

The rapid rise and fall of this memecoin highlights the volatility and risk inherent in meme-based cryptocurrencies, especially those launched on platforms like Pump.fun. These tokens often have no underlying utility or fundamental value, making them highly susceptible to price manipulation and pump-and-dump schemes.

For investors, this incident serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of acting on social media promotions, even when they appear to come from trusted sources. The ease with which accounts can be hacked underscores the need for enhanced security measures and due diligence before making any investment decisions.
