While cryptocurrency markets have experienced significant volatility in recent weeks, Mark Yusko, CEO and Chief Investment Officer of Morgan Creek Capital Management, made statements that will reassure cryptocurrency followers. According to Yusko, the most intense selling pressure Bitcoin (BTC) has experienced has likely ended.

Yusko attributes the recent price drops largely to "forced selling." The renowned investor points out that the market has been dragged down, particularly by efforts to generate cash for tax payments and some large institutional players being forced to close their positions, adding that this "capitulation" phase is largely complete.

Yusko, evaluating Bitcoin's attempt to hold above $60,000, argues that the price has found strong support in this region. Considering macroeconomic conditions and liquidity cycles, Yusko maintains that the market is now poised to gain upward momentum.

One of the most important topics highlighted in the interview was the Bitcoin halving and the increase in global liquidity. Yusko predicts that potential easing of monetary policies by central banks during a period of supply constraints will create "a perfect storm" for Bitcoin. According to the analyst, Bitcoin could reach new highs in the next 12-18 months.

Crypto lender BlockFills files for bankruptcy: 'Most responsible path forward'

Chicago-based crypto lender platform BlockFills has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Delaware, confirming weeks of speculation about its financial trouble.

Its operator, Reliz Ltd., said the move is meant to help stabilize the business, but the court filings revealed a major financial gap.

At the time of filing for bankruptcy, BlockFills reported assets between $50 million and $100 million, while its liabilities are expected to reach up to $500 million. Addressing the matter, the crypto lender platform took to X and noted, 

After extensive discussions with investors, clients, creditors, and other stakeholders, BlockFills has determined that a voluntary chapter 11 filing is the most responsible path forward in order to preserve the value of the business and maximize recoveries for stakeholders.

A prominent $XRP holder is calling out what he says is a deliberate and recurring scheme to push the token's price up before US markets open then drive it back down once trading begins.

The claim has split the $XRP community between those who see a coordinated attack and those who say the data points to something far more routine.

A Chart, A Pattern, And A Name For It

The community figure at the center of the debate goes by Arthur online. He posted a historical price chart showing $XRP surging toward key resistance levels in the hours before US markets open, then quickly reversing after trading begins.
