The crypto market has shown a dynamic performance throughout the past week. Hence, over the past 7 days, some noteworthy crypto assets have experienced impressive gains. As per the data from CoinMarketCap, Audiera ($BEAT), Shiba Inu ($SHIB), and Venice Token ($VVV) have dominated the list of weekly crypto gainers. Following that, Pump.fun ($PUMP), Uniswap ($UNI), Monero ($XMR), JUST ($JST), Aave ($AAVE), and MemeCore ($M) are also among the top performers.

Audiera ($BEAT) Dominates Weekly Crypto Gainers with 51.39% Rise
Audiera ($BEAT) has become the top crypto gainer in terms of the latest weekly performance. Currently, $BEAT/$USDT is changing hands at $3.52. In addition to this, its 24-hour volume accounts for $27,277,954. At the same time, its 7-day change denotes a 51.39% increase. After that, Shiba Inu ($SHIB) is the 2nd top crypto gainer, with its 24-hour volume hitting $721,316,311. Dormant Bitcoin activity dropped in the second quarter. It fell to its lowest level since the third quarter of 2022. The figures were shared by Alex Thorn, head of firmwide research at Galaxy Digital, in a post on X.

Memecoins have experienced strong downward pressure amid extended weakness across the market.

However, in the last 24 hours, the memecoin market cap rose 8% to $23 billion, while trading volume rose 77% to $2.85 billion.

Amid this sector-wide trend reversal, MemeCore [M] also rebounded, successfully holding $1.1 and climbing to a local high of 1.329.

As of this writing, MemeCore was trading around $1.32, after rising by 11.2% on the daily charts. However, its trading volume dropped by 13%, suggesting that market participation is yet to

recover.

MemeCore demand recovers amid sector-wide capital rotation

As the sector-wide momentum shifted, M traders also rushed to position themselves, fearing they would miss out.

As a result, the memecoin's Open Interest climbed by 9.4% to $25.66 million. Such a jump in Ol suggested increased participation as traders opened new positions.

Meanwhile, the memecoin's Long/Short Ratio jumped above 1 across exchanges. The overall ratio was around 1.07 as of this writing, reflecting high demand for long positions.

This implies that traders mostly opened long positions, indicating bullishness as traders expected the market to continue rising.

Bank of Russia Ratifies Openness Of Crypto Ecosystem: ‘No Restrictions for Transferring Crypto Abroad’

The Bank of Russia has come to the defense of the recently passed cryptocurrency bill, which establishes clear distinctions between qualified and non-qualified investors, pushing lower purchasing limits for the former group.

On Friday, during a press conference following a Board of Directors’ meeting, Bank of Russia Governor Elvira Nabiullina ratified the need to establish this distinction, stressing that it was not limited to the cryptocurrency world and was a common element in regulation.

“Non-qualified investors have fewer opportunities because the government, through legislation, tries to protect them to avoid them embracing the risks that they don’t understand,” Nabiullina declared.

She also stressed these measures covered the crypto ecosystem, as digital assets can be seized from lawful owners abroad if they are suspected of having any links with Russia, and because of the crypto market’s volatility.

Bill No. 1194918-8, which is expected to become effective on September 1 alongside the long-awaited and recently confirmed rollout of the digital ruble, Russia’s central bank’s digital currency (CBDC), establishes a 300,000-ruble ($3,800) purchasing limit for non-qualified investors, while qualified investors enjoy limits ten times higher.

Nonetheless, Nabiullina highlighted the openness of the Russian crypto ecosystem, stressing that there were no limitations for repatriating and transferring digital assets abroad, just like in the current regulatory regime.

“Transfer of ordinary foreign currency to foreign accounts is not limited because that might be necessary in order to pay for health care services, for education,” Nabiullina said, but called on investors to be aware that when receiving these funds abroad, they would not have the protections of Rus
