Crypto governance company, Tally, processed more than $1 billion in payments, served more than a million users, helped secure over $80 billion in protocol assets, completed a 60-day US ICO registration process, and then decided to kill the token sale and shut down anyway.

The company stated that the market for venture-backed governance tooling does not exist at the scale needed to support the business, even after five years of operation and apparent traction.

Former Lutnick-run Cantor Fitzgerald donates $10 million to crypto PAC led by Tether exec

Cantor Fitzgerald and Tether, the world's largest stablecoin issuer, have maintained close ties since 2021, when the firm began serving as a custodian for Tether's reserves.

The Fellowship PAC also spent over $1 million on advertising for candidates, including Republican Senate candidates Nate Morris in Kentucky, Pete Ricketts in Nebraska, and Republican House candidate Clay Fuller in Georgia, according to filings.

Cantor Fitzgerald, the Wall Street firm formerly owned by current U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, donated $10 million to a super political action committee backing pro-crypto candidates as election season ramps up.

The firm made that donation in February to the Fellowship PAC, according to a Federal Election Commission filing. Bloomberg earlier reported the news. Lutnick's sons now run Cantor Fitzgerald.

ITCOIN PROPOSAL THAT COULD FREEZE QUANTUM-RELATED COINS: Bitcoin was built on a promise that no one can touch your coins without your private key. No government, no bank, nobody. That promise is now, for the first time in Bitcoin's 16-year history, being challenged by the developer community itself as part of measures to build defenses against future quantum computers that could compromise Bitcoin's blockchain and steal your coins. Jameson Loop, one of the outspoken bitcoin contributors, and other cryptographers have proposed a move that could force bitcoin holders to migrate their coins to new quantum-resistant addresses or face having their coins frozen permanently by the network itself. In that scenario, holders would technically still “own” the coins, but lose the ability to move them. It is called Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP)-361 and was updated in Bitcoin's official proposal repository with the title "Post Quantum Migration and Legacy Signature Sunset." A 46.3 million ounce silver shortfall is keeping pressure on a market that was already tight before 2026 got going, according to the World Silver Survey 2026 released on Wednesday.
Reportedly, global demand stayed above supply for the fifth year in a row in 2025, the deficit smaller than it was in 2024, but it still put more stress on above-ground stocks.

The 88-page report was released by the Silver Institute and researched and produced by Metals Focus, the London-based precious metals consultancy. Its numbers show that total silver demand slipped 2% last year to 1.13 billion ounces, but that top-line figure does not mean the market loosened up.
A strong rise in investment demand helped keep the market under pressure even as some other segments weakened. Coin and net bar demand rose 14%, which nearly canceled out declines elsewhere.
