Bitcoin’s network activity is improving even as its price remains below its previous highs.

In 2024, the network activity moved in tandem with the price action as Bitcoin [BTC] moved toward the $100,000 zone. However, in 2025, this relationship began to diverge when the network activity plummeted rapidly.

The divergence suggests Bitcoin adoption continues strengthening beneath the surface, even as investors remain cautious about the price outlook. Recently, however, the trend has reversed.

The metric’s index rose from nearly 3.2k to nearly 3.8k as Bitcoin lost its upward momentum. That shift matters because growing usage is appearing before a major price recovery.

When hiring holds and firing stays contained, the Fed keeps the room it needs to keep policy tight, and Bitcoin has spent two years trading as a liquidity-sensitive instrument that responds to the expected path of interest rates far more than to whether a given economic print sounds encouraging to the people inside it.

Each of those labor numbers feeds directly into the market's running estimate of what the Fed will do next, which is how a weekly jobless claims report ended up affecting the crypto market.

Michael Saylor Shares Strategy's Resilience and Growth Since 2022



Michael Saylor, the chairman of the world's largest Bitcoin treasury firm, Strategy, has recently shared a brief story, reflecting on the tough moments in the history of the company, which have now become its strengths today.

In the post, Saylor discussed how far the company has come since it continued to witness consistent market weakness, especially in 2022, when it faced its lowest moment.

Strategy grows from 130,000 $BTC to 846,000 $BTC in four years

In his statement, Saylor recalled that when he gave a speech in October 2022, Bitcoin was trading around $20,000 and the firm only held about 130,000 $BTC, worth around $2.6 billion at the time.

While its stock, MSTR, also traded near $24 on a split-adjusted basis during that period, it marked the beginning of the company's trials, as the weeks that followed saw Bitcoin enter a deep correction phase.

At that point, the market conditions began to prove challenging for Strategy as Bitcoin dropped below $16,000 and Strategy faced mounting pressure.

At that point, Strategy had incurred debts that exceeded the combined worth of all its Bitcoin holdings and cash reserves by about $300 million.

This caused MSTR shares to fall from $24 to $13 in just a few weeks. The bright side is that this did not mark the end for Strategy.

According to Saylor, the company remained committed to its long-term goal and continued to aggressively accumulate Bitcoin despite the difficult market situation.

Since it remained resilient and continued to double down on its Bitcoin purchases, Strategy has reportedly raised more than $60 billion in additional capital and invested it in expanding its Bitcoin holdings.

As such, Strategy has added over 716,000 $BTC to its holdings since that time, and currently boasts over 846,000 $BTC in its portfolio.

Bitcoin traded near $64,000 on Sunday after recovering part of Friday’s sell-off, but the rebound has not yet changed the wider range.

According to crypto.news market data, Bitcoin traded around $64,008, up 0.87% over 24 hours.

The page showed a 24-hour range between $63,188 and $64,462, with daily volume above $16.6 billion. Bitcoin’s seven-day move stayed slightly negative, showing that the weekend bounce only repaired part of the damage.

The move kept traders focused on the $62,000 support area. A clear break below that zone could weaken short-term sentiment, while a move above $67,000 would give bulls a stronger relief setup.

Bitcoin holds range after Friday’s drop

Bitcoin fell below $63,000 on Friday as risk appetite weakened across crypto markets. It later bounced from the weekly 200-period moving average area and the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement, according to crypto trader Daan Crypto Trades.

Daan said the $62,000 area remains the level bulls “must hold” into the weekly close. In his view, a move below that level would look bearish in the short term, while a break above the local high near $67,000 could open a move toward $73,000.

Ether, Solana and Tron also firmed over the weekend, while HYPE remained one of the stronger weekly performers despite a daily pullback. Dogecoin stayed weaker than most large tokens on a seven-day basis.
