Injective breaks above $5.76 on recovery volume – Can INJ clear $6.06?

Injective [INJ] surged 12.89% in 24 hours to $5.93, breaking out of a week-long consolidation as momentum and trading activity accelerated sharply.

For most of the past week, INJ remained trapped between the 78.6% Fibonacci support at $5.32 and the 61.8% level at $5.76. That range formed after a sharp correction erased the entire rally from $4.77 to $7.35, producing a near-perfect 100% retracement.

Earlier in the decline, the $5.76 (61.80%) golden pocket failed as support and repeatedly rejected recovery attempts, turning it into the market’s key battleground.

However, that picture has started to change. INJ has now broken above $5.76 and climbed to roughly $5.95, its highest level in ten days.

This development is notable since AMBCrypto had previously identified the post-Vulcan decline as a “sell the news” correction rather than a structural trend breakdown. More importantly, volume has surged to 342.95K, the strongest reading since the correction began.

That suggests buyers are absorbing supply more aggressively than during previous rebounds. Meanwhile, RSI has climbed to 68.98, its highest level since the June peak.

This signals strengthening momentum, yet it also places INJ near a zone that previously preceded pullbacks. The next test sits at the 50% Fibonacci level near $6.06. A break above that level would strengthen the recovery momentum and expose $6.74.

However, failure to hold above $5.76 would suggest the breakout lacks conviction, shifting attention back toward $5.32 and potentially the $4.77 low.

Bitcoin $BTC$64.823,66 is facing selling pressure ahead of today's Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) interest-rate decision at the first meeting under new Fed Chair Kevin Warsh.

The largest cryptocurrency pulled back below $65,000 after trading near $67,000 just a day earlier, CoinDesk data show. The broader market CoinDesk 20 Index (CD200) has lost 1.2% since midnight UTC, with all but four tokens declining.

“The main focus for the week is the FOMC meeting under new leadership, with market expectations of interest rate hikes already priced in through 2027,” Laser Digital said in its weekly note.

The market is pricing in no change in the fed funds rate at this meeting. Instead, the focus will be on Warsh’s post-meeting press conference for signals on his views on inflation. Warsh has criticized the Fed's frequent press conferences and detailed forecasting and may face questions on his stance.

Among stand-out gainers, Uniswap’s $UNI token surged another 20% over 24 hours, buoyed by Standard Chartered’s bullish forecast of $100 by 2030. Meanwhile, $NEAR, INJ and several stablecoin-related assets dropped as much as 8%.

The market remains calm ahead of the Fed decision. Activity has slowed, with crypto futures volume falling 20% in 24 hours to $165 billion and open interest dropping 2.3% to $110 billion. Liquidations fell to roughly $310 million, down 44%.

The calm is also evident in BVIV, bitcoin's 30-day implied volatility index, which was hovering near an annualized 39% at the time of writing — a level not seen since June 2, just before it spiked to nearly 59% a few days later. Ether's volatility index is showing similar stability.

Cardano's $ADA stands out among altcoins. Open interest has climbed to 2.26 billion tokens, nearing the record 2.32 billion set on June 6 and recovering from the June 13 low of 2 billion.

Forget the price charts. Here's how bitcoin and S&P 500 look like when adjusted for the money printerf you're only looking at the dollar price of your portfolio, you may be missing part of the picture, which is significantly shaped by money supply growth.

To the casual observer, the markets look like business as usual. While bitcoin has nearly halved to $66,000 since its $126,000 peak in October of last year, the decline could be dismissed as just another brutal, quadrennial crypto bear market. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 continues to hover near record highs.

But beneath the surface, a more interesting signal emerges when both prices are adjusted for the U.S. M2 money supply. M2 is the Federal Reserve's estimate of liquid assets, including cash on hand, money deposited in checking and savings accounts, and other short-term saving vehicles such as money market funds and certificates of deposit.

Monetary exhaustion?
Some observers see bitcoin as a high-beta barometer for dollar liquidity, and the BTC/M2 ratio, bitcoin's price adjusted for money supply growth, is now flashing a warning. The ratio, after a sharp climb from 2023 through 2025, appears to have formed what technical analysts call a head-and-shoulders pattern, typically read as a bearish signal.
