The ECB increased interest rates by 25 basis points on June 11, 2026, as policymakers remain cautious that inflation may stay higher than expected for longer. The updated rates will come into effect on June 17, 2026: deposit rate at 2.25%, main refinancing rate at 2.40%, and marginal lending rate at 2.65%. $EUR is also holding relatively strong, with the latest ECB reference rate showing 1 EUR = 1.1607 USD on June 15, 2026.
Short market view:
The euro is receiving support from the ECB’s tighter monetary policy, but further gains could be limited if inflation concerns, geopolitical risks, or weaker eurozone growth put pressure on the currency. Traders are likely watching upcoming economic data for the next direction.#EUR #BTC #USADPEmploymentChangeSlipsTo25500
