CryptoCache said $35.6 million in spot limit orders was wiped out at $80,000. That means price moved into a large liquidity area and cleared resting orders around that level.

The chart also shows several large red sell zones above and near price, including notable whale order levels around $81,000, $82,000, $84,000, $85,000, $86,500, $90,000, and higher.

The analyst expects downside after the move, saying the last shorts from the past seven days were fully liquidated. In simple terms, the upside move may have cleared short-side liquidity, leaving less fuel for an immediate continuation.

If $BTC fails to hold above $80,000, price could return toward the nearby support area around $79,200 to $79,600. A deeper pullback could bring the $78,400 range back into focus.

Amy Oldenburg, head of digital assets at Morgan Stanley, says client education — not product design — is the central challenge facing bitcoin adoption at the firm and across the industry.Morgan Stanley launched its bitcoin exchange-traded product, the Morgan Stanley Bitcoin Trust (MSBT), into a market it believes is still in its infancy. 

At a panel on Wednesday moderated by Tyler Evans, Amy Oldenburg, the bank’s head of digital assets, spent the better part of an hour making a case for bitcoin that few clients have heard in full, and said that gap is the industry’s most urgent problem.

“We have to start with bitcoin,” Oldenburg told the audience, citing the asset’s roughly 1.5 trillion dollar market cap and its distance from the rest of the crypto landscape. 

She was careful to draw a line between bitcoin and crypto as a broad category, a distinction she said most retail and institutional clients still do not make with confidence. The firm wants to see that distinction anchored in fundamental research, not just narrative.

The education problem, she said, runs deep. Many investors still associate bitcoin with its early history of use by bad actors, and struggle to see past that frame when weighing an allocation. 

Oldenburg said that when clients ask about yield or structured exposure, her team tries to be direct: “you can present it as a yield, but the underlying asset is bitcoin.” That clarity, she said, is still missing from most conversations in the market, and there is “so much more work to do.”

MSBT pulled in more than $100 million in its first week of trading, a strong early signal for a product the bank describes as designed for the full spectrum of its client base rather than a narrow segment. 

But Oldenburg was quick to put that number in context. All of the initial flows came through self-directed accounts, because the fund had not yet been made available on the advisory platform.

Sequans sells 1,025 bitcoin to fund debt redemption and buybacks as revenue drops 24.8% Sequans said it sold 1,025 bitcoin, reducing holdings from 2,139 BTC to 1,114 BTC as of April 30.

The company linked bitcoin sales to convertible debt redemptions and ADS buybacks, while reporting revenue of $6.1 million, down 24.8% year-on-year.

Paris-based Sequans Communications trimmed its bitcoin (BTC) holdings by nearly half during the first quarter, selling 1,025 BTC to finance convertible debt redemptions and an ADS buyback program.

The transaction reduced the firm's total digital asset reserves from 2,139 BTC at the end of 2025 to 1,114 BTC by the close of April, it said in a statement on Tuesday. Of the remaining bitcoin position, 817 BTC, representing over 70% of its current holdings, is pledged as collateral for $35.9 million in outstanding convertible notes.

While indicating high short-term growth, these trading volumes remain lower than those recorded during previous breakouts. A periststent uptrend would demand even higher volumes, indicating strong institutional conviction and unwavering absorption of overhead supply.
To keep a bullish structure intact, prices must hold above the $72,352 100-day moving average. Defensive zones would be between $73,000 - $75,000, where a fall below this would suggest the upswing was but a bull trap.
