Данные, опубликованные Бюро статистики труда США, показывают, что индекс потребительских цен (ИПЦ) в апреле вырос на 3,8% в годовом исчислении. Месячный показатель за апрель составил 0,6%.

Основным фактором инфляции стали цены на энергоносители, которые выросли на 3,8% в этом месяце, что составляет почти половину общего роста. Цены на бензин выросли на 5,4%, а на электроэнергию — на 2,1%.

Рост инфляции в США обычно влияет на денежно-кредитную политику Федеральной резервной системы. Традиционно высокие цены усиливают понижающее давление на рисковые активы.

Инвесторы сократили свои позиции в волатильных активах в ожидании публикации данных по инфляции в США. Фьючерсы на S&P 500 упали на 0,4%, а фьючерсы на Nasdaq 100 — почти на 1%. Наибольшее падение показали акции технологических компаний.

Сектор цифровых активов отреагировал на публикацию данных сдержанно. Цена биткоина за день снизилась всего на 0,4%, в настоящее время торгуясь на уровне 80 919 долларов.

BREAKING: U.S. Senate Confirms Kevin Warsh to the Federal Reserve Board – Tomorrow Is the Big Day





The US Senate confirmed former Federal Reserve official and financier Kevin Warsh for a 14-year term on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.

According to Reuters, the Senate is now expected to expedite the confirmation process for Warsh’s four-year term as Fed Chairman. The vote could be completed by Wednesday, while current Fed Chairman Jerome Powell’s term ends on Friday.

It is believed that the debate over the political independence of the US Federal Reserve may intensify with Warsh’s appointment. While President Donald Trump has long pressured the Fed to cut interest rates, the administration’s various actions against Powell are also noteworthy. These include attempts to remove Fed Governor Lisa Cook and the Justice Department investigation into Powell’s handling of the Fed building renovation. Although the investigation was later closed, it has been reported that the chief prosecutor said it could be reopened.

Despite the late-Q1 bounce, the broader quarter still played out as a bearish phase for the market.

From the technical standpoint, Bitcoin [BTC] may have closed March up 1.5%, but it ultimately finished Q1 down more than 22%.

Similarly, the BTC-to-gold ratio briefly rebounded by over 17% during the month, yet it still ended Q1 down more than 28%, extending the 31% drawdown seen in Q4.

In other words, Bitcoin’s relative strength against gold continued to weaken.

Meanwhile, tokenized gold (XAUT) attracted notable capital flows. As the chart below shows, spot trading volume in tokenized gold hit $90.7 billion in Q1 2026, already surpassing the $84.6 billion recorded across all of 2025.

These forces could push Bitcoin higher this week even as US-Iran tensions continue to rattle markets

Traders are watching CPI, Washington’s crypto vote and expiring put hedges as Bitcoin holds near $80,000 despite US-Iran tensions.

Bitcoin is entering one of its most consequential trading weeks since its February correction, with Middle East tensions pushing oil prices higher, inflation expectations hardening, and options traders positioning for a possible break above $85,000.

According to CryptoSlate's data, the largest digital asset briefly dipped on Sunday after President Donald Trump rejected Iran’s latest response to a US peace proposal, then recovered above $82,000 before easing near $81,034 as of press time.

The move kept Bitcoin inside the narrow range that has defined trading in recent weeks, even as geopolitical risk continued to feed into energy markets and rate expectations.

Notably, Trump called Iran’s counteroffer “TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE” after Tehran sought war reparations, the unfreezing of blocked financial assets, and recognition of its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz.

The waterway has become the main channel through which the US-Iran conflict is reaching global markets, given its role in the movement of oil and liquefied natural gas.

That continued market tension has created a difficult setup for Bitcoin, as a prolonged oil shock can keep inflation sticky, delay Federal Reserve rate cuts, and pressure speculative assets.

Yet Bitcoin has continued to hold near $80,000, while options data, fund flows, and Washington’s crypto calendar suggest traders may be underestimating the risk of an upside squeeze.
