Following the historic October 10 crash, the PEPE price has been struggling against the bearish pressure. As a result, the meme coin has remained muted in terms of its price movements, with no major recoveries recently. However, it looks like the tides might be finally changing for PEPE due to the rising bullish technicals surrounding the meme coin. Crypto analyst MyCryptoParadise points this out in an analysis that focuses on the catalysts that could trigger the next PEPE rally.

The Bullish Developments Brewing A Rally For PEPE
In the analyst is share don the TradingView post, MyCryptoParadise points to a number of factors that have pushed the PEPE price out of the bearish phase and into a more bullish environment. The first of these, and possibly the most important, is the fact that PEPE formed a Selling Climax (SC).

According to the analyst, this Selling Climax emerged when buying overwhelmed selling, absorbing the pressure from the dumping. The importance of this is that it means that the meme coins have now hit the end of the bearish phase. Following this, it would move right into accumulation, which is bullish for the price.

Next is the fact that PEPE saw a Change of Character with this move. This means that there is now a change from the bearish structure to a bullish one. The analyst points out that this signals that the momentum is now moving in favor of the buyers.

Another interesting formation on the chart is the Automatic Rally trend. This means that bulls are not strengthening after establishing a resistance level. Furthermore, the PEPE price has also formed a Last Point of Support. This simply means that the buyers are back in control of the meme coin once again.

US government moves $606K in Bitcoin seized from Bitfinex hack to Coinbase Prime

Around $606,000 in Bitcoin connected to the Bitfinex hack was moved by the US government to Coinbase Prime on Thursday, blockchain data shows.

The transfer follows the government’s earlier movements on March 3 and April 10, which were connected to two separate crypto-related cases.

As of April 2026, federal wallets hold 328,361 $BTC, valued at around $24 billion.

The Bitfinex hack, which took place on August 2 2016, is one of the largest early shocks to the crypto industry.

On that day, hacker Ilya Lichtenstein exploited a vulnerability in Bitfinex’s multi-signature wallet system and stole more than 119,000 Bitcoin worth around $72 million at the time.

At today’s prices around $74,000 per coin, the same pile would be worth roughly $8.9 billion.

Following his 2016 hack of the Bitfinex exchange, Lichtenstein spent over five years alongside his wife, Heather Morgan, attempting to launder stolen funds through complex, layered transactions.

In February 2022, federal authorities seized approximately 94,636 $BTC after the FBI decrypted files in Lichtenstein’s cloud storage. These files contained a spreadsheet with over 2,000 private keys that gave agents direct access to nearly all of the recovered funds.

Lichtenstein received a five-year prison sentence in November 2024. Morgan got 18 months.

In early 2025, federal proceedings solidified the in-kind restitution of the seized assets to Bitfinex. This requires the US government to return the seized coins.

Per its whitepaper and recovery commitments, Bitfinex intends to use those funds to fully redeem all outstanding Recovery Right Tokens (RRT) and allocate at least 80% of the remaining net proceeds to repurchase and burn UNUS, SED, and LEO tokens.

Tether Provides $150 Million in Support to Altcoin Attacked Last Week! Official Statement Released!

Drift Protocol, a Solana (SOL)-based DeFi platform that suffered a hack attack worth over $280 million in recent weeks, will create a $150 million recovery fund for victims of the cyberattack.

Stablecoin giant Tether has also lent its support to this rescue fund.

In an official statement, Tether announced a strategic partnership with Drift Protocol and its partners to support user recovery efforts and relaunch the Drift platform following the security breach on April 1st that resulted in approximately $285 million in user losses.

Accordingly, Drift Protocol (DRIFT) also announced a recovery plan for affected users in its statement. The project is establishing a Recovery Fund to which Tether will contribute up to $127.5 million and other partners will add another $20 million.

“The plan aims to prioritize users and boost Drift’s return to the market and USDT’s growth on Solana.”

The fund will also be financed through a $100 million revenue-sharing program, ecosystem grants, and market-maker loans.

Drift stated that it is collaborating with law enforcement and blockchain analytics partners to track the stolen assets and that the recovered funds will be added to the pool.

Affected users will be given a special recovery token, separate from their current governance token, which can be used to claim their rights in the recovery pool.
