Arthur Hayes says the crypto crowd is getting hit while still fighting over the reason for the drop. In his latest essay, Arthur warns that: “I don’t know anything about war fighting,” and makes clear he has no inside line into what global leaders may do next.
What he does say he has is public data, basic math, propaganda AI agents, and a portfolio to protect.
He says there are really four possible outcomes, but one is useless for investors. Nuclear destruction is not something he thinks anyone can trade around, so he throws it out. That leaves three main paths, plus one middle case tied to a US blockade. Arthur says he is trying to find a portfolio setup that can beat hydrocarbons, food, and fuel prices in the best case, and in the worst case still do better than most major assets.

Avalanche Price Eyes 14% Upside As BAVA ETF Lifts Sentiment



$AVAX, the native cryptocurrency of Avalanche network, jumped over 2% during Wednesday’s U.S. to trade at $9.53. A primary catalyst to this surge can be attributed to market-wide recovery as the U.S and Iran reportedly reached an “in-principle agreement” to extend the existing two-week ceasefire. However, the Avalanche price gained additional traction following the official launch and trading debut of the Bitwise Spot Avalanche ETF, BAVA.

Bitwise Launches BAVA ETF Offering 5.4% $AVAX Yield

Bitwise Asset Management has rolled out a new exchange-traded fund giving investors direct access to the Avalanche blockchain. Since April 15, 2026, the fund trades under the ticker BAVA on the New York Stock Exchange and holds $AVAX tokens in a network applied in real-world use and various projects of governmental interest.

The company will collateralize its $AVAX assets by using its own unit of on-chain operations. The structure is to earn the network average 5.4 percent staking yields without locking up assets required to meet daily liquidity requirements. The product is accompanied by vivid warnings: the cryptocurrency markets are extremely volatile, and investors may lose the majority or all the capital.

“When we tokenized our funds, we chose Avalanche because it enables us to build our own private, secure lane on the internet.4 It was like moving from old-school paper mail to an instant, secure messaging app—it made things faster, cheaper, and way more transparent for our investors,” said Anthony Scaramucci, Founder of SkyBridge.

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, is accumulating Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) once again, as institutional demand for crypto-based Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) ramps up. The move comes despite ongoing market volatility and heightened bearish sentiment, highlighting how institutional appetite for crypto exposure remains firm even as fear and uncertainty spread across the market.

BlackRock Ramps Up Bitcoin And Ethereum Buying
From April 6 to 10, BlackRock recorded a strong wave of inflows into its spot crypto ETFs, highlighting sustained institutional demand for digital assets. The recent inflows also signaled a shift in sentiment among investors, who had previously adopted a risk-off stance amid geopolitical tensions and macroeconomic conditions that fueled price declines in the crypto market.

In total, the investment company attracted about $780 million across its Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, a staggering figure that shows renewed interest in regulated crypto exposure. SoSoValue reports that the bulk of these inflows went into BlackRock’s Bitcoin ETF, iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT), which brought in roughly $612 million. Meanwhile, the firm’s Ethereum ETF, iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA), added approximately $168 million over the same period.

As new shares were issued, authorized participants stepped in to facilitate the process, requiring custodians to buy an equivalent amount of real BTC and ETH. Those assets are now being held by Coinbase Custody, the primary custodian for BlackRock’s crypto ETFs. To maintain full backing, the firm acquires Bitcoin and Ethereum through on the open market or over-the-counter (OTC) deals. BlackRock, for its part, manages the funds without using its own corporate capital.

Crypto analyst Ted Pillows has drawn attention to the Solana treasury companies, which appear to be struggling more than the Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP treasury companies. This comes amid the crypto market downtrend, with SOL suffering the largest drawdown among these coins.

Solana Treasuries Struggling Worse Than Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP Treasuries
In an X post, Ted Pillows stated that Solana treasury companies are looking like “Solana memecoins.” He noted that they are already down 80% to 90%, but could go lower before the bottom. Notably, the Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP treasury companies have shown greater strength than these Solana treasuries.

Ted Pillows highlighted the stock performance of the Solana treasury companies, Forward Industries, Sol Strategies, Sharps Technology, and DeFi Development Corporation (DFDV). Forward Industries, which is the largest Solana treasury, has seen its FWDI stock fall from a high above $40 last year to as low as $4. The stock is currently down over 80% in the last six months.

It is worth noting that Solana has suffered a larger crash than Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP from their October 2025 peaks, which could explain why the Solana treasury companies have suffered larger crashes than the BTC, ETH, and XRP treasury companies. The SOL price is down almost 55% in the last six months, while BTC, ETH, and XRP are down less than 50% in the same period.

Commenting on Ethereum treasury companies, Ted Pillows noted that they are showing some strength at the moment. However, he warned that this doesn’t mean that they have bottomed out, but that they could bring some buying pressure into ETH. The analyst added that after that, both ETH and treasury companies will go to new lows. Tom Lee’s Bitmine is currently the largest Ethereum treasury company and has seen its BMNR stock fall 60% in the last six months.

Ripple has signed a remarkable partnership agreement with Kyobo Life Insurance, one of South Korea’s leading insurance companies.

The parties announced they have launched a joint project to digitize and expedite the government bond clearing process using blockchain technology.

According to the announcement, this agreement marks Ripple’s first partnership with a South Korean insurance company. The project aims to tokenize government bond transactions using Ripple’s “Ripple Custody” platform.

This aims to reduce the T+2 settlement period, commonly used in traditional markets, to a near real-time level.

However, the parties stated that the project is still in its early stages and did not share any concrete information regarding the exact transaction volume, implementation schedule, or which bond types will be covered. The statements emphasized that the collaboration is primarily a pilot project aimed at testing technical and regulatory feasibility.

Kyobo Life also plans to explore stablecoin-based payment solutions in collaboration with Ripple. However, which stablecoin will be used or when the application will be launched has not yet been announced.

Experts point out that this development is part of the accelerating trend of corporate tokenization in Asia. The faster progress of countries like South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore in digital asset regulation, in particular, makes the region stand out in this field.

Ripple is reportedly aiming to strengthen its position in the financial infrastructure sector through increasing institutional collaborations in Asia in recent years.
