Summary Cross-border B2B stablecoin transactions are projected to reach $5 trillion by 2035, rising from $13.4 billion in 2026, according to Juniper Research. Juniper Research estimates that B2B flows will account for 85% of total stablecoin transaction value as enterprise adoption expands. The report published on April 27 has estimated that the total cross-border B2B stablecoin transaction value will climb from $13.4 billion in 2026, with enterprise payments expected to dominate usage over the next decade. Looking at the data, business-to-business flows are set to account for 85% of all stablecoin transaction value by 2035.  Usage is moving beyond retail trading activity, with companies integrating these tokens into treasury operations, supplier payments, and cross-border settlements where speed and cost remain critical factors. Cross-border B2B use cases drive growth Juniper’s findings point to inefficiencies in traditional correspondent banking as a key reason behind this rise. Conventional systems rely on multiple intermediaries, which often leads to delays, foreign exchange costs, and messaging fees. Bitcoin’s Lightning Network is starting to turn iGaming payouts into a native Bitcoin use case, as operators look to escape card fees, chargebacks, and slow settlement that no longer fit a real-time betting market.

A new benchmark report from Voltage frames Lightning as the next major phase of Bitcoin’s evolution, shifting it from a passive store of value to the backbone of instant, global gambling withdrawals.

The study opens with a 30-day pilot at a single iGaming operator that routed a slice of its customer base through the Bitcoin Lightning Network. In that window, the platform pushed 88.2 bitcoin through Lightning, processed 237,000 payments, and recorded a 99.94% success rate with an average end-to-end settlement time of 1.86 seconds.

Voltage says 80% of deposits and withdrawals in the pilot flowed through Cash App users, a sign of how much latent Lightning capacity now sits inside mainstream Bitcoin wallets. The company argues that this is exactly where Bitcoin’s second layer begins to matter for gambling: a familiar wallet, a $BTC balance, and withdrawal times that drop from days to seconds.

Bitcoin on-chain vs. Bitcoin on Lightning

The report draws a sharp line between Bitcoin on-chain and Bitcoin on Lightning. On-chain Bitcoin still offers irreversible, global payments, but confirmation times stretch from minutes to hours and fees spike when block space fills, which undermines the economics of frequent, smaller withdrawals.

Lightning was built to solve that constraint by moving Bitcoin payments into peer-to-peer channels that track balances off-chain and settle the final state back to the base layer when needed.

In practice, that design lets operators send bitcoin-denominated iGaming payouts in milliseconds with fees under a penny, roughly 0.0029% of transaction value, which the report says makes Lightning around 1,000 times cheaper

How The Bitcoin Price Dynamics Are Playing Out
While Bitcoin’s price is displaying renewed upward strength, a key on-chain metric is hinting at the asset nearing an important confluence zone. This region, where several indicators and technical levels coincide, frequently serves as a pivotal battlefield for buyers and sellers.

These zones have historically seen significant price movements as market factors come together and volatility starts to increase. According to Darkfost, a verified author at the CryptoQuant platform, this trend can be observed through the Bitcoin Supply Distribution Heatmap.

The metric combines three interesting elements, such as the Distribution Clusters, which measure buying and selling activity, the True Market Mean Price, and the Short-Term Holder Cost Basis. At the moment, Bitcoin is trading within a white zone as seen on the chart, where relatively little exchange activity has taken place.

Currently, this confluence zone has extended up to $83,000, a level that many investors reacted to in the past and which could also act as resistance. At the same time, both the Short-Term Holders Cost Basis and the True Mean Price are trending around $79,000. This level continues to act as resistance as well, capping off upward attempts.
