An early Ethereum investor has sold roughly $136 million worth of ether and staked-ether tokens over the past week, adding to the selling pressure already weighing on $ETH near the $2,000 mark.
Lookonchain says an Ethereum OG sold 55,000 $ETH and 9,442 wstETH for ~$136M
in a week, averaging $2,041.
The selling adds to ETF outflows, pressuring ether as it tests the key $2,000 support level.

XRP to Tor': Ripple Chief Architect Unveils 'Doomsday' Plan to Resist Authoritarian Takeovers

The blockchain industry has long debated whether any network can survive a direct attack from a powerful authoritarian state. During a renewed discussion, Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz finally addressed this question for $XRP, saying that $XRP Ledger (XRPL) is ready to completely rewrite its "DNA" and go underground technologically, but not submit to external pressure.

Against the backdrop of news about sanctions evasion and attempts by authoritarian regimes to interfere with distributed ledgers, users asked Schwartz a direct question: what happens if nodes start being physically raided?

Why dictators are powerless against XRPL
The crypto industry veteran's answer was cold-blooded as Schwartz admitted that intelligence services are capable of causing local and short-term disruptions, but long-term control over the network is impossible.

Any vulnerabilities or bugs they try to exploit will be fixed, because the software can always be changed, Schwartz stated, adding that the system will automatically replace compromised nodes from the dUNL list of trusted validators with new ones.

I don't think that would be very effective unless they could make it so that nobody was brave enough to run a validator. Operators would just be replaced. Validators could become anonymous and operate over tor. But it would certainly be disruptive.

XRP Seeing Similar Liquidity Structure to XLM Amid 40%+ Surge
Chart data shows XRP currently displaying a similar liquidity structure to Stellar amid the latter’s recent massive price surge.

Following the DTCC’s announcement that it had selected the Stellar blockchain for its securities tokenization project, Stellar (XLM) jumped more than 40%, reaching $0.29 before pulling back to around $0.25 at the time of writing.

This surge has brought attention to XRP due to its price correlation with XLM. Crypto analyst CryptoInsightUK believes XRP could be preparing for a similar breakout, arguing that the asset now shows many of the same signs that appeared before XLM’s recent rally. 

Key Points

XLM jumped more than 40% after DTCC chose Stellar for its securities tokenization initiative.

CryptoInsightUK says XRP is now seeing a similar liquidity structure to XLM following its surge.

The XLM price broke out of its trading range before XRP during a similar setup in November.

The analyst argues that large short positions above XRP could fuel a strong rally through a short squeeze.

Based on liquidity analysis, CryptoInsightUK believes XRP could revisit $3.60 and potentially reach $4.20-$4.30.
