In the cryptocurrency market, investors are closely monitoring blockchain data for Bitcoin and altcoins, and significant volatility is being observed for both altcoins, indicating substantial changes.
The cryptocurrency analytics platform Santiment reported that, according to its data, significant net outflows from exchanges are being observed for Chainlink and $PEPE.
The decline in the supply of both tokens held on exchanges has been interpreted as an important signal, indicating a reduction in the number of tokens available for sale in the short term.
"Chainlink Records Net Outflow of $1.26 Million!"
According to Santiment, over the past 24 hours, there has been a net outflow of approximately $1.26 million worth of $LINK from the Ethereum network. This is the largest daily $LINK outflow since June 29th.
A decrease in the amount of $LINK held on exchanges may indicate that investors are moving their tokens from centralized exchanges to personal wallets or other storage addresses. This, in turn, reduces the risk of potential selling pressure in the future, as it means a decrease in the supply of $LINK ready for quick sale in the short term.
"$PEPE: 4.54 Trillion Tokens De-listed from Exchanges!"
In the memecoin market, a larger movement was observed on the $PEPE side. Over the past 24 hours, there has been a net outflow of approximately 4.54 trillion $PEPE tokens from exchanges.
This was the largest daily net outflow for the personal protection asset since November 14th, 2024.
The reduction in the supply of $PEPE on exchanges also lowers the risk of sudden and sharp sell-offs. Especially during periods of prolonged sideways price movement, such exits from exchanges can be interpreted as a signal that investors prefer to hold onto $PEPE tokens rather than sell them.
What Does the Activity on the $LINK and $PEPE Platforms Mean?
The common point for both assets is the decrease in supply on exchanges, but this alone does not mean the price will rise. However, reducing the number of tokens available for sale can create a more positive outlook regarding supply.
"For both assets, the supply available for sale on exchanges is decreasing. Regarding $LINK, institutional adoption and infrastructure development should be noted. For $PEPE, potential ETF approvals and rotation within the memecoin market are being closely monitored."
